Taken - Liam Neeson, yum, about his daughter being taken hostage in Paris, I liked it ... 3/5
Surrogates - Bruce Willis .... hmmm, no wonder I had never heard of it at the cinema, pretty poor, ending ok though. Didn't start well with a dodgy wig, but ended better ... still, I wouldn't watch again. 1/5

The Perfect Getaway .... hmmm, jumped once, worked it out before the end, thought it was a thriller but it turned into a comedy, wouldn't watch it again.
Orphan ...... mmmm, freaked me out a bit, anything with children in it does, and the little deaf girl looked liked my friends daughter and I kept thinking it was her and wanted to save her! I would watch it again but it was a bit disturbing so maybe not

Just watched Julie & Julia ... what a lovely film, definatly a feel good film, left me feeling uplifted rather than how I felt after Marley & Me!

I watched it at cinemas and everyone came out crying. Then watched it at home and cried again. Most upsetting film ever. Black Swann.
For once I was speechless. I still don't know what to take of it. I;m still very confused.

The Blind Side - liked it a lot, couldn't tell which bits were real and which were made up for film purposes, but even so, would recommend.

Valentines Day ...hmmm, all star cast, story as expected, wouldn't watch again, but passed some time and I did laugh at the bits in the credits at the end ...
2 out of 5 - that might be a bit generous actually

Animal Kingdom
Tells the story of seventeen year-old J as he navigates his survival amongst an explosive criminal family and the detective who thinks he can save him.
It’s not a particularly violent movie but it’s incredibly brutal in places and it has this amazing sense of claustrophobia, of the world closing in around this crime family, who are also a real family.

44 inch chest with Ray Winstone (sp) ... I did enjoy it but thought the ending was weak, it left you with more questions than answers which I didnt like, also little too much of the c-word, ha ha. So mixed feelings really, Ray fans watch, others not so sure really ...
Helpful? Not!

Good film to be fair, its classed as an Action film but theres plenty of bits in it to make you chuckle, watched it online (not the best quality) but I will be buying it on DVD

The new X-Men movie is cracking.
Never seen anything of the others or even had an interest in it until I saw the movie. Very good.

Re: Film Review - What did you see last?
Other than Avatar and Jackass 3D I don't think I've seen any films in 3D that have made the film any better than they would have been in 2D. I tend to avoid them now. Mainly because it adds very little, but also because it's expensive and the glasses are a pain to wear because I have prescription glasses on too.

oh, its just that we have a 3D tv, so wanting to buy some 3d dvd's rather than just blurays.

Ah, I wasn't very helpful then.Amy wrote:legionited wrote:Other than Avatar and Jackass 3D I don't think I've seen any films in 3D that have made the film any better than they would have been in 2D. I've never seen either but Despicable Me 3D and Tangled 3D are supposed to be pretty good.
I saw Tron and The Green Hornet at the cinema in 3D, but both were pretty disappointing.
