theyll nick owt over the hill
THE first stars to secure a place on the city’s Hollywood-style walk of fame have been revealed.
Wakefield band The Cribs, playwright John Godber, sculptors Barbara Hepworth and Henry Moore, naturalist Charles Waterton, rugby league legend David Topliss and John Harrison, who invented the chronometer, which solved the problem of finding longitude, will be the first to get star-shaped pavement plaques under the Wakefield Stars scheme
Henry Moore was a cas lad and nothing to do with that [REMOVED] over there, the rest are just no-marks

Not really relevant to us but I can't say I particularly care either way about this. If they want to honour some of their so-called legends in this way then fair enough.
It does seem like they've blown their load early on though, I mean who else are they going to put on there next?

All a tad embarrassing if you ask me.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_pe ... _Wakefield
Plenty of familiar faces to choose from, but not many people who truly deserve to be honoured in this fashion IMO.
