The way they've done it doesn't work IMO, but I do think there should be a greater reward for race wins.
For example, rather than 10 points for 1st, 8 for 2nd, 6 for 3rd etc why not 12 for a win, 6 for 2nd, 4 for 3rd and so on? That way there's still a greater emphasis on race wins, but its not the only thing used.

Very interesting analogy used by the BBC in a news report this morning. It's a game of poker with a huge pot in the middle. The breakaway element have an ace in their hand with one already on the table.
The question is, what do FIA have in their and are they brave enough not to fold?

Also is there pressure from the countries that host Grand Prix to get it sorted quickly.
