Olympics - London2012

Post by da_jimbob_7 » 29 Jul 2012, 08:52

As it seems really quiet on here thought I'd start a topic for people to talk about all things Olympic. Currently I'm off work injured and unluckily for my wife it means I can watch it for its entirety!

Thought the opening ceremony was amazing, though a little long winded and finishing very late. Was it worth the £27million? I believe so! If there had been a game on sky though I may not have even watched it.

Hope we start winning medals or I think some of the floating supporters will lose interest.

And finally... Empty seats??? What a farce! I put in Facebook that I feel these Olympics will be remembered more for the controversy and mistakes than for anything else! IMO a lot of corporate freebies guests will only be interested in event finals!

Great achievement though. Never had anyone inside the top 20 and to get a 7th and 13th are steps in the right direction.

Nice to see im the only one, that and Handball have been the two sides ive really got into. The handball might have caught my eye because of the Danish women playing though i will admit.

I've watched as much as possible. Probably enjoyed the football more than I thought I would. But I've focused quite a lot on the beach volleyball! Hope we carry on steadily picking medals up!
