you ask any intoxicated player in xscape and they will tell you he isn't fit for the job, no one rates him (only when they need a shirt they do) and he treats them like something you walk in.
not one player looks like they want to play for him and no matter how much anyone rates him etc etc if he's lost the players he must go. it's easy and better to get rid of the coach than 25 players!!!

i too have supported him in the past, i have given him the benefit of the doubt due to the quality of players he has at present, but if he can't motivate a team to beat a bunch of reserves he has to go.
How he can be pleased with the effort yesterday God only knows.
How many times this season have we been leading at half time only to cave in in the second half.
We, at times seem outplayed physicaaly but more importantly we are outplayed mentally. He constantly refers to the dumb football that we play-but surely after 3 years under his guidance that comes down to his coaching.methods.
The players must have respect for their coach even if they don't like him they must still have respect. Once he has lost that he loses control and he must seriously consider his position.

How can he be pleased with yesterdays defence, Did he not see there tries ??
We have defended well in parts in every game, Whenever the opposition havent scored due to their errors probably
I cannot beleive this statement, I would have expected him to say more to explain why a bunch of kids can make our first team a laughing stock

We play our best rugby when we play with some width.
Yet yesterday all we seemed to do was play the inside ball back towards the ruck in an attempt to slug it out down the middle with little success.
A strange tactic when you take into account that even though Leeds we way below full strength they still had Bailey, Leuluai and Burgess in the front row.

Have to agree with you there, pesonally i dont think most of TM's signings have been that good ie not SL standard,i mean look at Harbrecht,he was supposed to be a decent young player, been told that even Fev dont really rate him!Dirk Diggler wrote:We play our best rugby when we play with some width.

i dont know why cas dont go for once in there lives a decent and a right coach instead a of right hand men i can picture it now matterson goes Hay will get in and it`ll be another cheap option.
Matterson makes Steady look like a decent coach. What beats me is why oh why didn't we bring Kear back to the club when Steady resigned rather than just plodding along with Mercer.
Kear would have been ideal for us, doesn't spend much and really gets average players playing out of their skin for him
If Matterson stays , choose which players come in next season we will still be struggling near the foot of the table, sooner he goes sooner his replacement can get in and try and sort this mess out.

I have an idea.
We can make use of that huge waste of money at he bottom of Sagar Street.
Sit TM on the top of the yellow milkcrate monstrosity, with a book 'How to play Rugby League' and tell him he aint coming down till he's read the book throughout, or he'll go for a wet one in the river aire.
Not only will we have a coach that knows what shape of a rugby ball and what happens when the opposition places the ball over the try line. We'll have made use of another Castleford waste of space.
