Widders seems like a perfect signing for our community.

In my opinion, exactly the "type" of fella we need off the field, and the ones good off the field usually carry the fans infectious enthusiasm onto the field.

(Diesel, Fritzy, Vowlesy, Ronnie Gibbs! etc)

A lot has to be looked at in terms of a players attitudes coupled with their ability and my opinion is we have got this one bang on.

What's with the !!!!!!, can't you post without them?

Anyways, for every top player that went on to be a top coach, I bet I can give you 5 back who were either poor players making great coaches or great players failing to coach.

Dennis Betts - failed as a RL coach and is now skills coach at Gloucester RU

John Joyner - SL coach of the year once, but soon went down hill

Graham Steadman - nuff said
And to keep it going,

Ellery Hanley, David Topliss, Andy Gregory, Gary Schofield, Pete Stirling, Wally Lewis are just a few great players who I believe never made it as Coaches let alone good ones.
I can't let you have that one Toppo coached a very poor squad of players and staved off relegation for years and even won a Yorkshire cup because he was Trinity through and through
He was a very good coach and was wanted by quite a few top clubs but he wouldn't leave his beloved Waky

I must admit I am relying on the words of a player once coached by Toppo who claims he was far mor intersted in the social side rather than the hard graft in training.
