Fridays game.

Post by WHELDON-ROAD-END » 12 Aug 2008, 23:46

Do we have a chance on Friday then?

I say not a cat in hells chance, but then again i said that against Wakey!

Yeah Leeds/Wakey different categories but its Cas and where unpredictable.

Leeds have everything to play for although there performance against Bradford wasn't very good.

I think Friday we should go out there and compete with them, we have nothing to lose, they have a lot to lose.

We just need to hope we come away from the game with no injuries to anyone.

Because i feel last 2 games if we win we could finish off the bottom.

Hulls last 3 games are -

Bradford away
Harlequins home
Hull KR away

Can we honestly turn the season around a little and show a great deal of courage and determination to come off the bottom for the 1st time!

Never know a couple of more drubbings for them and the points difference might come into play!
To be honest I don't give us much of a chance on Friday, but I'll be there cheering the lads on and never say never, if we play as we did in our home game against them or as we did for 60 mins against the pussycats, there's got to be a chance.
They are not in the best of form of late and with our new recruit onboard and getting closer to full match fitness by the day, who knows!

We may have pulled it out the bag earlier in the season at home, but I cant see us winning at shedingley ... I rekon it will be a big loss but as mentioned earlier, as long as the effort is there and we play all 80 minutes, I'll be happy!

Leeds backs and forwards if there on song will destroy us.

I hate to say it but i can't see us stopping there big pack and fast backs!

I hope im wrong though but can't see it.

Like you said i would hope for effort within the 80 minutes and a couple of tries from Luke Dorn to get his tally up, he's only 4 or 5 off Scott Donald and looks like he's out with a rib injury for a few week.

Come on Cas!

Leeds will destroy us - By about 50 i think

As just said it would be nice for Dorn to add a try or two to his tally as he has serious claims of second place on the try scoring table - ALthough he will need to bag a fair few more in the last few weeks

Dint know we were that clsoe with dorn in the try scoring ranks!!!

I think we wont win, but hopefully back to back good performances will keep the fans happy and then chances against Bradford and Warrington (is it??) could see us finish with decent stats for the run in.

What are our other top scorers like?? Think westerman will be up there with a few.

Well he made high with his carries but really comes no where near these guys -

1 James Graham 3530
2 Clint Greenshields 3399
3 Adrian Morley 3195
4 Jamie Peacock 3159
5 Andy Lynch 3072
6 Ryan McGoldrick 2916

4 props take up 5 places in metres made ..

The suprise inclusion is Catalans fullback Clint Greenshields in 2nd place!

As you can see Mcgoldrick is 6th but comes no where near the other 5!

THERE IS THEN NO OTHER CAS PLAYER IN THE TOP 25!

But with Andy Lynch being a prop and taking it in constantly making good yards each set, its going to take something big for Mcgoldrick to over take.

It means he would after take it in 2-3 times a set as Andy would be doing 1 or 2 runs a set like he as been week in week out.

I am not taking away the metres Ryan as made as when he gets the ball he goes forward and doe's is business.
