From a fan point of view i don't enjoy pre season friendlies, i think there boring and predictable and Cas in the past have always looked as though they can't be bothered on the field, whether it will change this year i don't know.

I may contemplate going to the Wakey game for obvious reasons but i definately won't be missing any league games. Im making it my aim to go to all 28 games in the league plus Murrayfield.

I certainly wont go to the fev game no chance.
When does the first game take place in SL 2009.
Playing fev a couple of weeks before the season starts could mean injuried to some of our players, unless we put the u21's out.

I also will probably stay away unless we field an almost full strength side - What a joke we have to give Featherstone another Grand Final against our academy

I would have thought that this game is close to the start of the season so the majority of the first team will be playing.

I dont see the point in this pointless fixture and its really bugging me - As were on a hiding to nothing
If we play a weakened side and struggle - Like we usually day, The inbreds from down the road get bragging rights and we look foolish

If we play a decent enough side and struggle then we will be wrote off for the season and everyone will be throwing themselves off the bridge

And if we play a full strength side, We risk severe injury for our stars, And have beaten a team of rejects so its no great performance

Im all for the game against Doncaster talks of playing a game for Singe has been thrown about a bit which is nice.

Absolutely no disrespect to Adam Watene, but do we really need to play Wakey? we already play them twice in the season, why do we need to play them pre season? if we play a pretty strong team then Wakey get to see 1st hand what we after offer when we play them in the league, put a weakened team out then it just becomes a boring specticle for fans.

Why not just play lower league teams, get a run out against them play different players, see who needs the fitness and who doesn't etc. Purely do it for the players benefit lets see a bit of Fordy and Feather and Jones see what they after offer.

Because playing SL opposition means we - in the majority - play a full-time side. This means we are playing a side who we know is going to play for 80 mins and not 50-60.

This also gives TM a measure of how good the new signings can cope with playing against players already adapted to this level.

Because to them its like winning the lottery and to Cas its like having to jump in a pile of horse muck.
