See if this was to be Shaun Briscoe - I would sign him immediately, Tbh i dont think its a case of whether we would have him instead of goldy as i dont think ryan is going anywhere - As i said from the start i am sure this is a certain Former employee of ours stirring up troubleCastafariani4eva wrote:Yeah i reckon Shaun Briscoe would be very useful for us just now, not over Mcgoldrick tho!
Shaun Briscoe is a natural fullback, With pace, He can catch and tackle and puts himself in the right positions - Would be a good signing if true

Was never a guess was from usually solid info so being a few days out wont make it wrong will it ???
Like I said earlier in the thread Negotiations hit bumps he wasnt completly signed when I posted it but was pretty much all but agreed maybe a few last minute tweeks and changes that will add a few days so as I said before lets watch this space !!!!
If we end up signing a foreign Fullback in 2 months time then I will come on and hold my hands up to passing on a bit of duff info but as we stand it is still on the cards maybe a few days late
Whats a few days between friends ????

To be honest i think we would better of starting goldy on the bench, using him as interchange with westy at fullback and providing injury cover for fb, c, so, and lf. in fact if you put your mind to it, with a bit of team shuffling and goldy coming on we can cover an injury in any position.big-t wrote:I'd think if it is S. Briscoe, McGoldrick could find himself sat on the bench to start games off, because there would be nowhere for him to start.
Out of all the Fullbacks named so far (and there's been a few ) I'd take Hayne or Briscoe, and only one of them are anywhere near likely to sign.

I've heard brent sherwin is to have an operation on his broken bone in his foot to pin it. Could be out for the start of the season, meaning ryan at 6 and chase at 7.big-t wrote:I'd think if it is S. Because it is not leeds / saints etc they would have had him in a couple of days after their last match it is cas we are talking about they are not proffessional enough to think ahead like thatrich wrote:If a operation is needed why leave it till now?
Why didn't Cas get it done once the season had finished.
