I pretty much agree with steadygetyerboots-on there is noway IMO that cas will finish above Hull KR, Bradford and even Huddersfield. We should be looking to finish above the new teams, Wakefield, Quins,

There's optimism and being plain stupid though. Cas are nowhere near a top 8 side this year - I'd love to be proven wrong, but it's too early IMO.

Here's my predictions:

1. St Helens
2. Leeds
3. Warrington
4. Catalans
5. Wigan
6. Bradford
7. Hull KR
8. Hull
9. Huddersfield
10. Wakefield
11. Castleford
12. Harlequins
13. Salford
14. Celtic Crusaders

Well i cant say yes and i cant say no to cas finishing in top 8 as i just have'nt got a clue, nowadays SL is unpredicatable at times, take most of our points last season v Leeds, Saints, Wigan, Warrington .. unpredictable. I would do anything to see Cas in play offs but you never know ..

But it's that inconsistency that will mean we finish lower half (below 8th) of the table.

We need to be aiming for a minimum of 20 points this season.

Cas

Bradford
Huddersfield

Wakey

Although we havea good team paper, they may not gel and therefore, I think Cas will only manage middle at best!

How do you get that? bigger tougher forwards and a creative stand off to go with the better players from last years side?

If the team can gel quickly, anything outside the top 8 is a failure and it will be Matterson's coaching ability holding the side back if they don't make the 8 minimum.

Rubbish, you been on the funny stuff? We are so much stronger and I'm struggling to see many of the teams around us who have improved there personel. We really should be hopeful of a strong start which will see us finish in the top 8.

IMO only Huddersfield look to have improved so far with there signings but there's still 2-3 months yet to get players in for the other teams. Compared to last season and other teams we look to be the more ambitious team.

sometimes its better not to change too much, look what catalans did having nearly the same team has what finished second bottom the year before minus stacey jones.

for me their will be very little change to the table from this year.

leeds
warrington
wigan
bradford
hull
catalan
huddersfield
hkr
castleford
wakefield
quins

As long as we finish above Wakey then its all fine and dandy also would be expected to finish higher than Celtic and Salford too. Oh and a cup run would actually be nice and a great day/weekend out in Wembley!

If we finished 13th above only wakey i think we should be kicked out of the league

We had a "gap year" this year --- 10th or higher for me otherwise the powers that be have some explaining to do
