There is mate yes. However one or two pedestrians crossing isn't the same as hundreds if not thousands of fans having a walk up.

Hudds,

I didn't say no one would use public transport but as I work in the travel industry I know full well that by and large the general public are not enthused by it. Take the point made by OCL, most will be in walking of a bus route distance but its a chore when you can just sit quite comfortably in a car.

I'll PM you with more detail.

I lived in Amsterdam for a few years and used to go watch Ajax, the Arena had great facilities, however they also used to have people walk around the ground with Heineken/Amstel backpacks on so you could get a drink without moving. Do not know if it would be allowed in the UK, but it is a great idea and could help cut the congestion. :D

Let hope the old girl holds up for another 3 years...dread to think we will end up having problems gaining safety certificates.

Just watched the SG interview about how he expects to be in the new ground by 2020. As much as everyone loves WR it is cleary not good enough to take us forward. 2020, 2021, as long as we get that stadium, that is all that matters.
With the support the club have been getting, it would have been nice, obviously, to hit more than a 10,000 capacity, because the way things are going we could see the numbers rise consistently if we keep things going like they are.

Doesn't that rumour pop up every few months?

At this point it's just lazy because the surveys were done with a while ago.

Whilst it is plausible, the delay has also been caused by them having to change the planning applications and updating these.

Indeed, we're still awaiting WMDC to ratify the latest one. Don't know if they're awaiting any more info but it does seem a long drawn out process in the planning offices. Need to stop dragging their heels.
