Saints on Saturday

Post by TT Tiger » 08 May 2017, 14:25

Any news on Greg Minikin? Rick Stone seems to think he will pick up a ban for his tackle in the air.
Apart from Chase I don't think we picked up any new injuries though we were lucky with Jake.

Nothing on the RFL site yet.
Not a major issue. Monnas and Eden at wing and Webster and Shenny at centres. Zakk back at FB as they land today so hopefully get a couple of days rest in before a couple of days light work ready for Saturday.

Not heard nothing on Chase yet but im guessimg he will be out with Roberts so Gale and McShane probably at half backs which im happy with.

I honestly cant see Minikin picking up a ban, nearly every week players get caught doing this, a penalty is given that seems to be the end of it,

Lets be honest as well it wasnt malicious was it, He seemed to commit to the tackle then realised he was still mid air, and to me looked to slow down but it was just too late to pull out.

He didnt go to put him out thats for sure.

we were talking about this at the time. the hudds player never actually caught the ball, he had already knocked it forward when mini touched him.

Saw the Webster incident this morning.
I was spitting blood, watched it back 2/3 times, Thaler should be ashamed of himself.

Don't know if anyone else saw it the same but I thought Webster did a very similar legitimate strip in the first half and was penalised quite near our line

think the tackle was deemed complete as he's been grounded that's why.

Didnt look that complete to me

even from the away end!

I am hoping Benny Roberts is declared fit to play, in the last match at St Helens he was the player that caused saints the most problems, on the saints side Percival was the one we could not contain, they are stronger this time as Robby is fit, we will have to be on the top of our game to come away with the spoils from this one, thank the lord Ben Thaler is not in the middle

Will be good to have Gale back to get us organised as thought we were lucky to get away with it against Hudds.

We are 1/3 for the win on Saturday. Saints 9/4.

Wish I was that confident.....!!

Feels like a tenner on saints to cover any disappointment...
