In previous years, he'd have played this week and probably suffered for it.

Powell is once again looking after the longevity and getting him 100% before bringing him back. A timely boost to our options.

Especially with Springer due back too.

No need for sims then.

plus we will get Cook and Moors back all been well for the super 8's or part of them

Exactly that. We've integrated Larroyer and Foster into our first team in recent weeks. So they're extra players at our disposal.

If we win our next 4 league games. We can give plenty of players rests during the Super 8's. So we could end up with a squad as fresh as the one we started with.

I disagree. Great time to bring another body on board. We know Powell likes to make a mid season signing to bolster the forwards:

2014 - Gareth Carvell
2015 - Gadwin Springer
2016 - Danny Tickle
2017 - ????

Anyone got an update on Larne from todays game. Was only on the field in the first half, for what must have been 10 minutes at the most, in a game that demanded rotation and interchanges. I am just hoping he has not had another injury or re- occurrence of the injury he has just recovered from.

I didn't think he did, seems strange to only give him a shirt spell in first half, as commentators even said he was having an impact. Let's hope DP had one eye on next Friday with him.

Thought he was tremendous last night. Powerful and direct. All of our forwards are but several have a bit extra silk to cut.

Was scared to death at one moment mid way through second half. Patrick sat prone at a PTB for a while looking towards his wrist. Scary.

Looking good. Just what we need. Heard Springer taking some stick but I thought he did ok in furst game back. Wish we could get more minutes out of him.

Larne had a great game, the run out at Hull will have helped, just as run out at Rhino's will help Gadwin shake the cobwebs off for the journey ahead!

larne is a very similar no nonsense type player like cook. puts the hard work in that goes unnoticed so he's come back at just the right time.
