Re: World club challenge
I happy that we have moved on from a couple of years ago when we were not in a position to pay the 170K bond. It's now 200K but with our supporter base expanding we should cover that cost no problem and make a bit of a profit.

Re: World club challenge
200 000 is a lot of money and I know we could probably cover that on match day but wouldn't it be great if us as supporters could set up some kind of fund to help cover the costs so the actual game revenue goes to the club. I for one would put to it as I've waited a long time to see us in the WCC . I know money's tight but was just a thought

You mean like buying a ticket to the game?chesterfieldtiger wrote:200 000 is a lot of money and I know we could probably cover that on match day but wouldn't it be great if us as supporters could set up some kind of fund to help cover the costs so the actual game revenue goes to the club. Re: World club challenge
an all pay gate should cover the cost that as been quoted £200,000 plus TV money and extra merchandise sales
Re: World club challenge

The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have

Re: World club challenge
The 200K is not a payment to put the match on - it is a bond. A bond is a investment. We (Tigers) loan money to the RFL which borrows the funds for a period of time at a variable or fixed interest rate. Bonds are used by companies to raise money and finance projects and activities like the WCC.

Re: World club challenge
The RFL should be providing the bond not clubs. Any club that qualifies by whatever means the RFL decides should be invited without the risk of loosing money on the game.
Re: World club challenge
No chance. We only get £100,000 for LLS. RFL can't afford £400,000 a year on WCC hahaBigcurt wrote:The RFL should be providing the bond not clubs. Any club that qualifies by whatever means the RFL decides should be invited without the risk of loosing money on the game.

Re: World club challenge
I think we should play the WCC at a different larger venue not Weldon Road. There will be plenty of other club supporters wanting to watch Cas v the Aussies as well as Cas supporters and we need to make the most of the money opportunity.
Re: World club challenge
How do we know the money will be any better? We would have to pay rent and lose out on plenty of beer and food monies.1973 wrote:I think we should play the WCC at a different larger venue not Weldon Road. And why do we care about non Cas fans? We can fill our gaff without them and no way should we even think about moving to accommodate fans of other teams.
