The race for 4th

Post by InTheKnow » 18 Aug 2017, 22:04

Hotting up now. Every team bar us and Leeds there is a possibility of finishing 4th.

Hull 31
Wakey 28
Saints 27
Wigan 27
Salford 26
Huddersfield 25

Saints losing 2 on the bounce no longer look favourites to me. You would have to back Hull keeping 3rd 2 wins ahead with 4 to play.

For me I think the winner of the Saints and Wigan game will be the team to nab 4th.....

This is the game I would probably fear the most. Our best chance of winning but.... They will raise their game and can you imagine losing the semi final to our local rivals who would never let us live it down.

They have to beat Salford in their next game for me. Saints play Wigan so 1 will definitely go above them if they lose.

I think Wakey will beat Salford and the defining game will be the Wakey v whoever wins the Sts/Wigan game

I don't know about you but I don't feel at all familiar or confident about these playoffs. Never really considered it before because there has been no need. Just seen the League table: Don't believe if you're making it .....

Wakey will trounce Salford, the red devils won't win a game in the 8's. I think Wakey then play Saints at home. Win that and think they will make the top 4.

Logically Leeds and hull are in the top four . I believe fourth is either saints.wigan.or waki. Let the battles start

Thought Saints were nailed on a couple of weeks ago but not sure now. My preference would be Wakey then Leeds in the Final.

I think we have the beating of Wigan and Wakefield St Helens had our number the last time we played them if we meet them in the play offs we need a big improvement on that performance, a lot can happen over the next few matches injuries to any key players can make the difference ,

We've the beating of everyone. Huddersfield demolished Hull and who says Hull won't get post Wembley blues. We've racked up a significant amount of points against Leeds against very few in return. Wakefield 3-0 our favour. Saints blow hot and cold. I'm not convinced Wigan would like a trip here either after their anilation on 29th April.

We should fear nothing - bodies on fire heads on ice.

I think Saints will finish fourth. They play Wigan at home after the CC final, Barba will make his debut and they will sneak fourth. I would prefer Wakey - we've had the better of them on the last 8 occasions now.

I think its a testament to how good this year has been that Hudds are still mathematically in the hunt. They'd probably have to win all remaining games and hope Wigan Saints and Wakey all suffer 2 defeats each, so it's not gonna happen... but still, they're technically in it.

Last year the top 4 was all but settled by round 23 if i remember correctly.

I dont think it matters who we play in the semi final. If we want to be champions we will win no matter what.

Just worries me playing Wakey. Imagine losing.... Wakey getting to OT before us. It would be a disaster haha. Fafita and the Wakey fans would never let us forget.

Losing to Wigan or Saints I could deal with....not Wakey.

Don't care who gets fourth, they will be the ones fearing that position

we are the best team in the comp
we have a fortress that has been breached once this year ( and in that we spent 60 min camped on their line )
we are averaging +30 points at home
we have the best tactical coaches in the league
we have the most intimidating ground in the league
we have the extra man pushing this team on

I say bring it on ...... fear no one .... let them worry about how to stop us ....
