Bad day at the office

Post by Tamworth Tiger » 08 Oct 2017, 10:17

Sorry I can't be there today. It's too far to do another long journey
Thanks to the club the fans and the players for our greatest season and a rain ruined performance in on game will never take that away from me. Even the on the field performance last night hasn't ruined the joy of being part of the occasion
Thanks particularly to the best supporters in any sport
We will look back on last night as an essential part of the journey
We got out of jail last week and last night was a bridge too far. I still believe an earlier score by us would have seen Leeds off, but who knows? Leeds with their two stars retiring was always my nightmare scenario and so it proved.
Don't forget that those two have learned from the hurt of losing many big games over the years and don't forget also how two try Briscoe choked last year.
Believe me we will be back, with or without Zak and join me in holding your heads up high as a supporter of the team of this season and a few more to come.

I think the lack of response to this says it all.
Sorry for yesterday but I'm only interested in
learning and moving on
I'll leave the rest of you to it. Enjoy the off season

Too raw and angry at the minute.
A last minute drop goal defeat would have been harrowing but better than that yesterday. At least we woul have had a performance and a game to watch. The hearbreak would have been horrible but compared to yesterday's blank, collapse it would have been something. They gav us nothing to clap. Nothing to cheer for the whole game until it was pretty much over.
Loved the season as a whole. Loved being league champions. Best rugby I have seen.
But yesterday is unfathomable.

They looked lost and dejected - god knows why.

I also thought after 20mins they looked knackered

I thought webbo had scored early on but was short. That could have been the breaker.
