It's so easy to criticise after last night, so I'm refusing to go to town on anyone, especially after the year we have had.
However, does Benny wind anyone else up? To me, he plays so dumb and without care and attention sometimes. Like his head is in the clouds. He goes to sleep far too often for me; I just do not understand the Guy; he has everything in his locker but time after time we see a mistake or a moment of madness!

Re: Roberts
We are a club with modest resources punching well above our weight this season. If Benny had everything you expect him to have he wouldn't be playing for us...he'd still be with Melbourne or one of the other big NRL teams.
He's always trying to make things happen and was no more frustrating than McShane, Milner, Millington, Moores etc last night. I'm sure there are plenty of other SL teams and fans who would love to have him in their team.

How is it going to town on him saying he sometimes is abysmal?Di wrote:now thats confusing, you say you refuse to go to town on anyone then do exactly that

I just wish he'd have more confidence to take on the line. Once he actually has a go, he punches holes. Reeks of insecurity in his own game.
To be fair tho this was the whole team yesterday.

When he plays badly in particular, we are terrible as a team.

Greg Eden is refereed to by many as a rocks or diamonds player, when Roberts was in Australia that’s exactly what they called him, it’s just the way he plays the gameMysterio wrote:It's so easy to criticise after last night, so I'm refusing to go to town on anyone, especially after the year we have had.

Re: Roberts
I’d bring in a class stand off n use Roberts of the bench to cover 9 n the half backs and even the full back position.
But I guess we could be looking for a full back soon.

Blimey is this the same Roberts whose consistent quality play saw him win supporters player of the year a couple of weeks ago?

Re: Roberts
Wow, having a go at a half back playing behind a defeated pack, baffling!....FWIW I thought Benny was better than Gale on Saturday.

Re: Roberts
The Rhino ball becoming a bar of soap when it gets wet (from either rain or sweat) doesn't help either and it is a huge problem the RFL created for themselves and it needs sorting out because that ball is a joke.fords wrote:Both were poor but that's cos they had nothing to play with.StevieTheTV wrote:Wow, having a go at a half back playing behind a defeated pack, baffling!....FWIW I thought Benny was better than Gale on Saturday.

Re: Roberts
I was told by a friend that super league is played in summer but the grand final is played in winter. It's being able to cope with that change. It scold and really wet, raining all the match.
We have been the best summer team this year but a long way but didn't do very well. But you learn from this and prepare differently. Next time we'll be better.
