Full Back 2018
As much as i would like to moan about Zak we need to move on to what we are going to do about it and need to act quick because the window for signings is short.
Options- Greg Eden full back
Personally i think this would be a horrid move, he has proved he is not a fullback due to positioning and catching.
We as a team, the way we play we need a strong attacking FB.
Other option is to buy one in- there is now space in the cap, i think super league has a lack of good fullbacks that would suit our style of play,... maybe evalds..as for the good ones no club will sell i.e jamie shaul.
Think NRL is the best/ only option if we still want to compete at a high level - regardless of what Zak did he was world class and pivotal to where we finished in the table he needs a world class replacement

Re: Full Back 2018
It's either sign someone or play Roberts at FB and throw Trueman in at SO.

Re: Full Back 2018
We're all saying mamo, Evalds etc but are these even available?
Would like Escare(really changed my opinion on him since he went to wigan) or maybe a punt at hanbury, same as above though are they available?
Robert's to fb and promote a youngster or recruit another half back

Re: Full Back 2018
Greg Eden should never be near that fullback position - never seen someone so terrified of a ball. Think I'd do a better job. We need a specialised fullback, not a patchwork job.

Basically we need to sign some players
7 out and 2 in at mo

Re: Full Back 2018
Why dont cas put an offer in for young walker from leeds, hes shown that he can be a very good player and did well in the gf.hes signed a new contract with leeds but that was only for 2 years where as ash goulding has had a 5 year handed to him so hel be out of the question...but walker for me that would be a great option and avenue to have a look at...definatly NOT eden keep him in the wing of hes our full back we are in trouble

Re: Full Back 2018
I mentioned it elsewhere but Evalds would be my choice, a similar style of running fullback to Zak. Plenty of pace and sound enough defensively.
If we are taking a punt maybe Max Jowitt at Wakey. Looked good n 2016 but can’t dislodge Grix at the minute and rumblings he is unsettled.

Re: Full Back 2018
My preferred option would be to try and sign Gareth O'Brien, he fits our style of play he is a top attacking FB with a kicking game. He can also cover in the halves, good under the high ball. His only frailty is his defense but hey ho we carn't be choosy at this moment in time, Zak has messed us up big time by his stupid actions.

Re: Full Back 2018
O'Brien or Evalds from the Salford firesale, Hanbury from Widnes or the more unrealistic options of Mamo & Ratchford.
Re: Full Back 2018
IF available jake mamo for me.has all the attributes we need for our game.do like hanbury aswel but not the best defensively

Re: Full Back 2018
Id like to see O'brien back at cas as a full back i agree he is very good in that position and attack is 2nd to noneBansley_Tiger wrote:My preferred option would be to try and sign Gareth O'Brien, he fits our style of play he is a top attacking FB with a kicking game. Re: Full Back 2018
What about jy at fullback. He’s solid under high ball.

Re: Full Back 2018
option 1
Roberts to Fullback Trueman given a start
Option 2
Evalds - would incur a fee as hes signed a new contract
Option 3
David Mead - only signed a year at Brisbane and prefers fullback to wing - also one of the quickest elusive runners in the game - would it be a quota spot?
Option 4
Gaz O'Brian or Max Jowitt probably another fee and would wakey sell one of their up and coming stars to their neighbours...
Option 5-99
Anyone but Greg Eden
Option 100

Re: Full Back 2018
I have just put forward on another thread an idea to convert Shenton to fullback. He has great defence, speed and will be able to Marshall the team from the back.
Joe Wardle to left centre.
