You mean like Jack walker in a grand final?
Walker started the season behind Golding, he made his debut mid season (against none SL opposition), he has been eased into the role and appears to have moved up the pecking order above Golding in recent weeks. He has progressed beyond expectations as opposed to having expectations placed on him by starting the season as 1st choice fullback. So yeah introducing a under 19's full back as Leeds did with Walker isn't a bad call.
Walkers a pretty exceptional talent, most players are eased in in this way but very few will progress as quickly as he has. Leeds have no doubt been pleasantly surprised.
So introducing Callum Turner pre season would be throwing him under the bus? And why can't he be a exceptional talent? He's in the England academy. Must have summat about him.

Who said introducing him was throwing him under a bus? Introducing him as a principle full back is hugely risky though and I'd unlikely to be a successful strategy.
He may be an exceptional talent but very few under 19 players are physically and mentally ready for the weekly demands of a full season of Super League. Walker, if that's the basis for your arguement, has played about 14 games this year.
Introducing Turner pre-season would be sensible, giving him a chance in a CC game against none SL opposition would be sensible and considering him for further invilolvement based on his performance in these games would be sensible. Expecting him to step into the 1st team from round 1 and play 30+ SL games wouldn't be sensible.

I think it's about picking the games we try them in and being too reliant on them in the early stages of their careers though.

Evalds would be a perfect replacement for Eden, if Eden is to be play full back

If the kids are good enough throw them in. Don't understand all this 'kid gloves' mentality - it's rugby league not tiddlywinks. If they didn't expect to get clattered into by big men, then I'm afraid they are in the wrong game.

we have tried a few young lads under the age 19 HUBY and Oliver Holmes, spring to mind I would also bet a number of our other current squad played first team rugby before they were age 20,

I think it's safe to say Eden will not be fullback next year. In fact I'd be unbelievably shocked if he was.
I have my reasons

Wasn't Eden a stand off? If so try him there and pop Roberts to full back

I remember a young lad playing for cas when he was 16 and was a cracker of a forward Until Jim measures and company knocked the living day lights out of him in a semi final and replay he wasn't the same after that I think you will know who I am talking about duggie Walton R I P

I suspect we will see a number of our young lads given a taste over the pre season games has they did last year. They didn't do too bad against a full strength Batley side earlier this year after a dreadful opening 15 minutes they pretty much held their own afterwards.with another year on their backs they will be better again given most of those youngsters are still at the club. Personally knowing many of these lads I wouldn't worry at all about throwing any of them into the first team for the odd game. Obviously Jacob trueman is the one that's grabbed the headlines so far but in all truth anyone of our 19s back line could step up if needed.

it was in the semi final replay at belle vue v widnes. I may be wrong but I remember doug taking a drop out on the full and coming forward at full pelt. collier and karalius hit him at the same time and I don't think he was ever the same again.

I love watching the under 19s as you say Braytontiger their are some real prospects in the team the investment the club as made is starting to come to fruition finishing 2ND in the league and four lads being picked for GB is no mean achievement , I must give our coach is due he attends most of the under 19s matches maybe he thinks the lads are just not ready, but we will never know until they are given their chance

Louis Johnson named player of the series for England. Shame he's a back rower with 4/5 blokes in front of him.

I don't think it's a matter of their not ready,we never really needed them to step in has we never had a great amount of injuries, let's not forget either they are trying to force their way into the best team in the league had these lads been at say Widnes I think 5/6 could have already made their debut.
