Re: Jamie Ellis
Exactly. He has a brilliant kicking game - one thing that we haven't currently got (the GF being one obvious example)dettoriman wrote:For anyone who actually remembers, Jamie Ellis ended his first stint with us in great form, He's got a superb kicking game and takes on the line.
I liked him first time around.
Welcome back fella - have a great pre-season

[quote="Tamworth Tiger"][quote="caslad69"]Totally baffled by this... wasn’t considered good enough by DP before, now we have had a good season ( he had a not very good season) all of a sudden he is good enough. Very disappointed in the quality of signings that CAS have made. Only good one is Joe wardle who I think will be fantastic. Hope it’s not going to be like all the other years when CAS have settled on their laurels
This guy probs thinks minikin.. mckmeeken.. Gale.. Eden.. Jesse.. junior.. foster.. cook were all poor signings !!!!

Re: Jamie Ellis
Also if anyone looks at Garry Lo's highlights there is no reason why he can't be as good if not better on the field than Justin Carney.
Re: Jamie Ellis
I recall DP bringing in an ageing Championship half back in 2014 & we ended up CC finalists that year. Not a superstar signing granted but let's see how he goes after a full pre-season. If he's wearing a Cas shirt he should have our support.

Re: Jamie Ellis
Are the internet coaches you refer to as bad as the internet coaches that say "Cant wait to see you rip it up next season" then?Big Shug wrote:O dear the internet 'RL coaches' are out in force today.

Re: Jamie Ellis
Welcome on board Jamie, I thought the lad played some good rugby prior to his move to Huddersfield, the lad is durable and doesn't spend much time on the treatment table, on a lighter note I was hoping for a prop forward the last time an half back finished playing prop at CAS was Kenny Pye spelt most likely wrong in the late 50s
Re: Jamie Ellis
Oops. My bad. Could've sworn I saw last year that he'd joined Hull KR on a permanent deal

If that is the case then I am happy with that.Spanishtiger wrote:Jamie Ellis for Tom Holmes, happy days imo
At the moment though it feels more like this is Zak Hardaker replaced with Jamie Ellis.

Re: Jamie Ellis
DP has been quoted as saying Ellis will partner Gale? I thought that meant Ellis would partner Gale?
If this is the case what about Roberts? Far better than Ellis.

Take it no one noticed the second paragraph on clubs official announcement
Re: Jamie Ellis
Far from it, I like to call myself a fan who trusts in our coach and wants Jamie Ellis to be successful in a Cas shirt. Its called being positive.Lofthouse Tiger wrote:Are the internet coaches you refer to as bad as the internet coaches that say "Cant wait to see you rip it up next season" then?Big Shug wrote:O dear the internet 'RL coaches' are out in force today.

Re: Jamie Ellis
if ellis is to be a regular starter then as a team we will be much weaker imo.he is not in Roberts league and Roberts is not in hardakers league at fullback.you can say all you want about wait and see who we get but on the evidence provided so far then we are not even standing still.
