Thought the same. Get him returning those kicks, I wouldn't fancy have him running at me with some space to build some speed up first!

He had one kick to him and fluffed his lines.....

Far more to a full back than returning kicks he can do that playing on the wing if he gets picked over Eden and minikin.

I think he's going to add competition to both Eden and minikin has he could be another find for us.

Difference is that Slater very rarely does it. Its a big shock if he does it. Were you shocked when Eden did it in the GF? No neither was I.

No not really but these things happen.im not sure what your point is tbh.every player makes mistakes some more than others granted but I wouldn't be judging any player on dropping a ball wether that's Gary lo or Greg Eden.

His point was pretty clear: Slater dropped a ball and it was genuinely surprising because he's an excellent fullback.

When Eden drops a high ball it won't be surprising because he's a liability under the high ball.

I can't comment on Lo having not seen the game, and i agree we can't judge him on a single dropped ball, i do hope it was a Slater moment, not an Eden moment.

Be more eden than slater i can assure you of that if mr powell losses the plot and decides lo will be our new full.back ...can see him doing some damage on wing like

Nice to see there are people that undestand what others are saying rather than being rose tinted all the time.

I think there could be a few PNG players getting poached after this World Cup. Wellington Albert isn’t playing in the NRL anymore is he? He’d suit black n amber (orange) ha

Gary may not be the answer to our full back problem it is one of the hardest positions to fill these days, Luke Dorn was an excellent attacking full back but I was never confident when Luke was taking the high ball and defending, lets not panic buy and try young Turner, I am sure the lad would love to have a go

Yes, full back, a pivotal attacking player, a secure defensive player, an organiser in defence as Luke was. Not an easy one to solve, which of course makes Zak's indiscretions all the more baffling. Cost him a Grand Final, two years of a glittering career, an England spot, his reputation (as fragile as it was). Sorry... I know it's all been said but it makes me so frustrated as to why anyone could be so stupid, and for what...

But if the kid struggles what do we do then? We need to sign a full back and introduce the young ones steadily. It would be irresponsible to go with the lad as our main full back and put too much pressure on him. Walker at Leeds was introduced slowly.

Thats right its a fleeting time you have i cant take moral high ground or judge others ive done enough daft things mesen but my advice to anybody playing now would be make the most of the chance you have ...

Barrie Mac likens him to Marcus Bai!!
Reckons we are in for a treat! Hopefully he’s right

talking to lads who watch FEATH say that in their eyes Gary LO was the best winger in their competition, the club are now well blessed with wingers, now FULL BACK that's another story ,

I actually think that had Jonny Lomax not been picked for England we could have made a play for him on loan. Benny Barba is clearly No.1 at Saints. With M Smith and how highly they rate D Richardson it potentially could make Lomax second in line for all positions he plays. I feel he’ll go really well for England and show Mr Holbrook how good a player he is.

Yeah, I felt he was a little rusty tbh. First game nerves what not. I said I felt he could go well for England. The next few games should say whether or not that’s the case. Either way he’s not on our radar, just as an outsider I think he’d have been a good fit for us.

Again Bennett picking from the ether. Player who has played little in the last half decade of his England's starting fullback, you couldn't make it up.
