Re: Greens signs 1 year
let's hope he's better than the last tall forward we got from Leigh.it looks like cas are doing what they have done through their history,a bit of success then start budget shopping.

Re: Greens signs 1 year
That should be exactly what Gateman was waiting for. If that doesnt make you rush down and buy your season ticket then I dont know what will.
Re: Greens signs 1 year
With the lads CV I think he as been lucky to land a super league contract, but our coach is not too bad at unearthing future stars lets hope he is right on this one, welcome on board young fella
Re: Greens signs 1 year
wow could not even get a game in a **** relegated team ... now signed to the league leaders......wish i was that lucky.....garbage signing...desperation.....and definately not a dp standard signing.....

Re: Greens signs 1 year
I like this signing tbh. Think him and Clark have some promise. However neither are surely starters. As squad additions to develop over next 2 years they are probably shrewd buys. Cheap, short contracts to motivate them. But they don't address the gaps left fully. Powell surely isn't intending just to go with these and what we have does he?
Re: Greens signs 1 year
It is in fact a typical d.p signing and every year bout this time i say no other set of supporters in the country would settle for the kind of signings were making ...but last year we won the league in a canter so as long as powell keeps perfoming miracles its hard to be too critical but with all the cap space we must have it would have been nice to have pushed the boat out further
maybe we still will

The lad as been given only a one year contact if he makes it great if not he will be on his way, I suppose he will be bursting a gut in training, so I will hold my judgement till he as a few games under is belt

Another one for the [REMOVED] polisher extraordinaire.
Re: Greens signs 1 year
I rated him when he came on the scene. Not sure what’s happened to him since but he was solid in Hull Krs team for a while. I’m quietly optimistic

Re: Greens signs 1 year
1 year contract. So he'll be keen to impress.
He's undoubtedly cheap and will probably be an extra warm body when mid season injuries settle in.
Not an exciting signing, but i expect he'll serve his purpose in DPs plans.

And was injured too. Personally think this may signal the end of Maher at the end of the season. Both big units, time to step up.onetiger wrote:he fell out with some of the back room staff at leigh

We all crave these big name signings but maybe Powell ain't interested in em? Maybe he prefers players with a certain skill set or quality that he can utilize? Maybe these ones buy into his mantra?

A Warrington? They spend big and never succeed. Not sure on that one.

Or the budget he has to work with is so tight it squeaks?the machine wrote:We all crave these big name signings but maybe Powell ain't interested in em? Maybe he prefers players with a certain skill set or quality that he can utilize? Maybe these ones buy into his mantra?
We can all look to Salford a few years ago to see what happens when you throw lots of big name signings together. But i'd take an experienced forward to lead from the front in the early exchanges...what Lynch did for 3 seasons until the cavalry arrived off the bench.
Time will tell on Clark & Green...and Gadwin for that matter. Optimistic for Douglas and Massey to get even better (wouldn't have said that a few years ago)!
