16-36 to Hull for mine.

In case anyone needs it spelling out - we're back to Cas of old on and off the pitch. Won't be long b fore Daryl goes.

They will be home tomorrow, so 4 fulll days to recover.
Depends on who gets over it the best, it can vairy from person to person.
Just the travelling drains you.

Players out injured, mixed with all the above plus a defeat.
Looking at it on paper all advantages points to cas.

We have 2 weeks off to sort out our troubles.
No injuries that we no of.
2 weeks to train hard and get our heads right.
If we botch this then I fear for the rest of the season.

If you have ever been to Aussie you will know jet lag is an absolute killer not a minimal issue. Been 3 times and trust me its a nightmare.
Never been to oz.
Have friends who have.
Jet lag affected one pretty bad, the other wasn’t affected as bad.
Just going of that tbh.
Everybody is different.

I’m really nervy about this match. There are so many factors that could affect the outcome:
Our poor start to the season - trouble in the camp?
Hull’s Oz trip - injuries and jet lag.
Our poor recent record against Hull.
Heavy surface - not good for an open game.
Our Full Back problem
Our long period between matches
Hull’s short turnaround

I obviously hope we can win but it seems to me too close to call

I've been to oz, as well as plenty of other far flung corners of the world - southeast asia, western America etc. takes me a day or two to fully recover from jetlag.

Hull will have had best part of a week. They'll be fine. It won't be ideal prep for them (say 2 days lost training), but it will be minimal disruption.

Yes, I thought so as well! Being original and witty on this board is not usually very difficult.

Hull were a better team than cas last year. They outplayed us every time we faced them. They just weren't consistent against other teams like we were.
I don't think that's changed really. It will take a phenomenal effort to beat them on Saturday. Just like last year.

I suppose he was looking at Hull 3 Cas 1.

What happened last year is irelevent we made poor signings after wardle and if people think we can do what we like and it will all be good because we walked the year last season there in a fantasy world
The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have

Absolutely true.
If you want your team to keep growing you have to bring the right personal in (players).
We’ve brought 2nd rate nobodies in, Aston , Claire and Clarke.
Green did look decent in the friendlise , wardle different class but with our luck he’s injured.
Let’s stop these silly project players, yes it worked for mcmeeken, and he who left.
Sadly it’s not always gonna work.
We need quality every year to keep building, its like cas does, we sit back look at 2017 achievements and become stagnant.
Then it comes back and bites us.

There's a fine balance OCL. I think it's probably part of DP's objectives from the bod to find project players.

But at the same time, I'm pretty certain most on this board would have been happy with

Wardle
Lo
Top Prop
Amazing full back

And that's that.

One thing is for sure, I think next week v Hull will show us where we are going this year.

Still going for a healthy Fc win

Looks like im not going to be able to make the game now unfortunately, if it had been sunday, i could have.

FC to spring out to a 3 score lead early and Cas to come back in the 2nd half and either lose narrowly or snatch a win.

Im going for 16 - 20 to FC or the other way around.

We look to be 2 big forwards light to control a big Hull side on a probable heavy pitch, and still trying to find confidence in attack. If Hull have an off day coupled with a touch of jet lag we may have a sniff... but if they turn up in good shape then Hull by 14.
