Re: new fullback
Maybe the club should hold open "X Factor" style auditions for the full back position :-"

Re: new fullback
Kheirallah may have played for France but he's an Aussie. Same as Hanbury, Locke and Mead. We still don't have any quota space.

Re: new fullback
There's players we could get rid of . At least 3 of those spots are players who won't even play barring injuries , I'm sure if a cheap fullback came up we could negotiate something and get rid of Hitchcox if need be .Spanishtiger wrote:Kheirallah may have played for France but he's an Aussie. Re: new fullback
Won’t matter a chuff with regards to the Salford boys .. they won’t last the season, clubs a gonner... get Evalds or O’Brien in, Dalford would be probably happy to offload emCasmoley wrote:mead 3 year deal, no chance.ERG2012 wrote:I wonder how long David Mead will be happy at Catalan....
Grix too old and makes basic errors (see the Robert Lui try last week)
Eden hasn't the authority or brain
Clare - see Eden!
Escare possibly Wigan are also offloading FPN so space on the money front
O'brien an option.... But average
Evalds.... Possible
Locke.....out of the frying pan into the fire....
Fullback is such an integral part of modern rugby and a spine position. Not somewhere where you put square pegs in round holes.
o'brien and evalds both have long term contracts.
we can all pick names out of the hat but I think we all know we aren't Warrington who can buy anyone out of a contract!

Have you ever seen Roberts play? What a ridiculous comment!westerbeast wrote:We are back to the Luke Dorn type fullback with Roberts, can attack but can't defend.

Agree.roberts was/has never been a safe pair of hands at stand off so he isn’t going to be at full back.StevieTheTV wrote:Have you ever seen Roberts play? What a ridiculous comment!westerbeast wrote:We are back to the Luke Dorn type fullback with Roberts, can attack but can't defend.
Re: new fullback
Roberts can defend though. Just can't catch a ball.

I'm thinking the same regarding salford mate, only a matter of time.Tigerwood posse wrote:Won’t matter a chuff with regards to the Salford boys .. they won’t last the season, clubs a gonner... get Evalds or O’Brien in, Dalford would be probably happy to offload emCasmoley wrote:mead 3 year deal, no chance.ERG2012 wrote:I wonder how long David Mead will be happy at Catalan....

Re: new fullback
every time i mention young Turner being given a go i get shot at from all sides , its obvious the Daryl does not think the lad is ready but Leeds were the same with Walker till their hand was forced, Turner is the current England under 19 full back , last week V London he managed three try's, and before you start i have not even spoke to the lad never mind being a relation

More chance of Tina Turner getting a game.gateman wrote:every time i mention young Turner being given a go i get shot at from all sides , its obvious the Daryl does not think the lad is ready but Leeds were the same with Walker till their hand was forced, Turner is the current England under 19 full back , last week V London he managed three try's, and before you start i have not even spoke to the lad never mind being a relation

Pros-Agressive tackler. Good side step/elusive runner. Strong/tackle busts/line breaks. Can have that x factor on occasions.
Cons-Poor positionally. Suspect fielding high balls/grubber kicks. Fitness dubious/joining line/link up play struggles because of this. Inconsistent form/goes missing. Decision making wayward. Inconsistent kicking game.
