£100k + free on the Cap

Post by Mysterio » 22 Feb 2018, 18:04

So; where does it go? The obvious answer is full back.

Should we be bold and potentially pay a fee to force a transfer through rather than wait for run down of a contract?

Or, do we go for a winger and put all of our trust in Greg?

Personally, id be enquriing after Mead. I know he's just signed, but things aren't right at Les Cats. The worst he can say is no thanks.

Whenever a club approaches a club for a player, the said club owes it to the player to make them aware and ask for their view.

Gadwin could may well be make weight.

On another score, in typical nosey Parker style, I hear dan sarginson may well become available this year. Would he be an option for the FB berth?

I'd say it may go on retaining current players in the squad: JSL, Adz Milner etc.

We may have some cap space spare from when we started the season as well as contigency but I wouldn't be rushing out into panic buying. It has to be someone with the right attitude, skillset and who buys into the ethos of the club.

We don't currently have a non-fed place spare with Clark, Millo, Moors, JSL, Roberts, Hitchcox, Lo so that limits us too. We can't just tear up contracts and a club has to be interested, and the player has to accept it too.

We should go all out on bringing in a world class FB for 2019.its probably our most important position. How we bring him. In the line etc....

Send a scout down under or something.

Panic buying at cas we've known since last October we need a ful back so I cannot see any panic buying being made,we will probably make do as we usually do.

But we had already started our recruitment. Players can start talking to clubs from April now.

We have already mentioned that clubs plan 2/3 years in advance too with salary cap and wage changes. There’s a reason why clubs say relegation in October is damaging - recruitment is done and dusted and all the best players are tied up!

Walker is injured at Leeds, so in the short term at least Golding is going to be playing.

Max is our first choice cover for Grix, that's not gonna happen IMHO.

Do we not have a full back in the 19's? Surely all efforts should be placed into getting him Sl ready. Other clubs would happily throw a youngster in.

I would love to make a comment mate, but i always get flak, when i dare to mention us trying the youngsters, i am one of the few hundred that attend our under 19S matches so that is the reason why i love to see these young lads progress

I believe he only signed a 2 year deal and this is his 2nd year.

Mamo seems really injury prone, we may as well have kept Hardaker to sit in the stands. Only one in our country who could do the job as to be Sam Tomkins, maybe Wigan could be willing to sell if Hardaker gets away without a lengthy ban.
