Good question, one I’d like answering.
Seems a strange one.
Playing the long game?
As we found out last year, we don’t need to win every game by 50+ points.
Keeping the likes of Jessie and Junior fresh through the season means they will be better towards the end of the season.
No risks if players have a minor injury either.
Leeds and Wigan have been doing it for years.

we are not clicking as yet, in the second half I thought our forwards were well held and looked second best most of the time Millington and Mc Shane excluded, sorry about the moan but we all know we can do better

Another good turn out of cas fans id guess there were about 250 salford fans in the ground , atmosphere was like being in a cathedral till the lads behind the sticks tried to get some chants going in the second half

Only putting in half game performances but getting the win. Will need to play for 80 next week to beat Wigan though. If we do and win we will go top 3 after not playing great.

Thought we still looked disjointed in attack and we will need to be much better than that to get anything from the next 2 games.
Only 1 handling try again, oh how we were spoiled last year.

Two points gained. Improvement required from the playing squad & the playing surface for next week mind.

I don't mind faltering here and there if it means we peak at the right time at the back end.
We dominated first half and then put cue on the rack. We never really hit full straps yet won with ease. 6 points from last 3 games is good enough for now.

Agree with this. Hopefully Junior ain't hurt and Jesse should be fully rested for next week now. 2 of our biggest forwards fully fit for a home game vs Wigan.

The game was basically sown up at the half so play the long game and rest our most important players.

Just Powell press conf. He says Junior could have played but no need with players we have in pack. Looking at keeping them fresh and rotating, ready for Easter.

First half was ok and comfortable. Dont want to see too many more second halves like that one again. Comfortable win without too much effort. Happy with things at the minute.

On a different note thought the ref did ok. Not seen him before. Seemed to get most things right.

went great 1st half, thought Salford came out for 2nd half to try and disrupt us by slowing down the ptb. they certainly succeeded at that. they were very one dimensional in attack for the first hour and then threw it about in desperation. you would have thought we were 20 down the way we were throwing reckless passes out when not needed. ridiculous penalty against meeks that led to their 1st try. cooky wasn't introduced until the 2nd half and didn't do many minutes neither did fozzy for some reason. looked to be 2 dozen from Salford. benny deffo getting better with the link up play and I can't remember clare putting a foot wrong. 2 great one on one tackles near the line.
