Why do we always flash the cheque book at these idiots, the same idiots where the holding team want rid. We only have ourselves to blame.
Hope it is not the same muppet who decided on buying Zac if so he needs his head examining

Re: Liam Watts
liam's dad steve has phoned a radio Humberside sports programme tonight. he said liam did not want to leave but believes powell can improve his game. he also said watts had never been disciplined by the club so his behaviour can't have been that bad.
liam himself has tweeted his thanks to adam pearson but doesn't mention radders.
he does say that he is with happy team mates now.
sounds as if the hull dressing room isn't a nice place to be at the moment.

Re: Liam Watts
Bit of a misquote mate. He actually says he "has some happy mates now", I might be wrong but guessing he's referring to his mates been happy he has rejoined Cas (been a Cas lad).lurcher wrote: he does say that he is with happy team mates now.

That's how I understood it, that his mates would be happy that he's at Cas.

I can live with the odd 1 or 2 red cards in a season from a big "nasty prop"......its when I start reading about off field social misconduct that I start to worry.Lofthouse Tiger wrote:After last year we saw posts saying "We need a nadty prop as we get run down by big packs".
Now I am seeing "Watts adds to our already formidable pack".
Which is it folks?
As long as the red mist now and then happens on the field and not in a pub,I can except that.
Re: Liam Watts
No doubt if Liam puts a foot wrong away from the field it will be reported on here, Liam as got to understand he will be watched very closely we have spies every where , MR WATTS beware
Re: Liam Watts
He will certainley be wound up on the field by oppenents trying to get him to react and get shown a card

I think this is a great signing but just hope the ‘significant fee’ & ‘large wages’ being bandied about doesn’t cause unrest in the dressing room. Also is anyone else concerned there’s been no comment from Darryl about this?
Re: Liam Watts
His dad said hes never once been disiplined since hes joined hull ,obviously some sort of fall out occured between him and the coach or other players massive call from them to let a player like him go for me

With Radford saying....tigerfeat wrote:His dad said hes never once been disiplined since hes joined hull ,obviously some sort of fall out occured between him and the coach or other players massive call from them to let a player like him go for me
""I would like to wish Liam all the best and hope he can find some consistency off the field"
....there is obviously some sort of problem outside his job of playing rugby.
Radfords quote isn't even cryptic! he probably might as well of come out and said what he thought or knows.
I don't think the boffins of Bletchley Park during WW2 could of deciphered that cryptic message from Radford.

Re: Liam Watts
I would say we have an excellent squad without Watts, so if he gives us some aggression and steel in the middle we've got to be happy. If he gets a card out two we still have an excellent squad that can win.
Re: Liam Watts
dear me I think you should watch a nice game off bowls the nature off rugby league you need thugs with aggression in the team or you get bullied off the field. Did you thing Ronnie gibbs was thug lol oh dear old boy go watch another sport lolbrodie123 wrote:We never learn, another thug with issues, why do we always think we can change someone. Re: Liam Watts
Watts fills the spot many say we missed a big nasty prop ,an enforcer.
We'll that's what we've got.
It's usually the case such players tend to give away penalties,it goes with the territory.
Who ever you sign comes with risks.
We are not the only team to have players with disciplinary problems.
Whether it's getting into the wrong bed, fighting ,drinking, drug issues.
I would like to think that our coach ,board and director of rugby will have thought very carefully taking in to account recent events would have thoughtlongand hard before getting out the cheque book, top class local prop a big coupe by any standards.
I believe should a quality full back became available we would throw our hat in the ring.
I will judge the lad on his actions on the field so Liam welcome aboard,

Re: Liam Watts
Very true and you only have to look at Ben Westwood as an example - penalty machine but one of the longest serving players in SL and probably the oldest now. Not a bad career for a recidivist!casjunction wrote:Watts fills the spot many say we missed a big nasty prop ,an enforcer.
