Think radford will soon be wondering if he should have given l.w few more chances , unless he can pick up a prop as good for the money he got ...good luck with that

An interesting piece about the Watts/Powell connection - with a clever last paragraph.

I remember Walt Watts well as a junior player up at Redhill. Lovely fella who had time for everyone.

I think it will be amazing for Liam to hear things Daryl was told by his Grandad!

Walt used to help coach Airedale Middle School team when Liam's dad and uncle attended there in the 70's. That hotbed produced Goodway, Timson, Hyde, Southernwood etc, whilst Redhill produced the Beardmores, Irwin. Walt's wife worked at the school, and both Walt and Val were salt of the earth, wonderful people.

Radford after Hull’s defeat to Salford:
"We are missing some players and we need to get them back”.
Fonua is only playing reserve grade in Australia so he might return, but we won’t be giving Watts back.
Kelly’s absence seems odd too.

All over Hull forum that Radford's new team ethos will jeopardise Kelly's future, as many on there think his conduct is more questionable than Watts's. I like Radford, but I always felt he was the type of bloke to take any errant players behind the bike sheds for a slap! He's getting older.

Hull have done well to get Kelly through a full season without incident. Sacked by Cronulla, sacked by Newcastle, “released” by Gold Coast. Many KR supporters blame his behaviour for their relegation in his last season with them.
He’s another Chase/ Hardaker. Great player, but the inevitable controversy is always just around the corner.

Ah, the memories playing junior rugby for Lock Lane against Redhill! Even as a junior we could never get through a game against Redhill without a few ‘scuffles’

Rumour in Hull is that watts ended up at Cas due to some issue with Kelly and this wasn’t going to get resolved. These are rumours but If true kelly may make a return in the hull starting line

Used to enjoy watching Redhill, they were at the top of our street. Sad when they were shut down.
