Dropped is the wrong word. Rested yes. Play Wardle at centre with Mcmeekan inside him. Pace and power on the right will do us no harm.

Unfortunately that’s the worst game I’ve seen Jake have for us so yes he should be dropped but he shouldn’t be alone I think Roberts could do with a week off too after tonight

Unusually poor tonight but he wasn’t alone. Shenton anonymous, Trueman far too lateral on attack but Gale’s kicking was the big problem. Absolutely dire.

Having said that, 3 tries from one-on-one misses.

In a nutshell

Milner needs a break - trying too hard

Second half - NIL.....

Our right side was absolutely crap. Weak as hell.
The lo try was the only time we really play expansive.
For some reason we are just playing 4 drives down the middle.
To prodictive, it’s boring rugby.
Daryll needs to change it ASAP.
Also what happened to gales kicking game, took a few steps backwards compared to last week.
That was a right wake up call.

Webster was shocking, too old and needs to call it a day after this season. The whole team was pretty shocking. Liam Watts was shocking, did Shenton and Roberts play tonight ?.Dear oh dear can't see us winning anything this Year to be honest.

Truemans bang average offers nothing in attack

Totally let down by the backs .....cannot praise the forwards enough but Milner Jesus when is somebody gonna have a word with him hes a penalty machine. Time and time again gives needless penalties away.
From a master class in kicking last week week Gale was making Tomkins a gift every time, too deep, not high enough for us to challenge. As a half back Roberts might as well have gone to see the plaque erected in Wigan town centre commemorating the site of the Casino so much for his contribution on the night.
If this 'performance ' (sic)is not actioned on ie Webster 'rested' Milner left out then aint much chance of us challenging for top four.
Oh, and Mr Hicks please look at a replay of this match and go into a dark corner and reflect on some of your decisions and contemplate Hari Kiri

Why should he be dropped because of one bad game.....how many times has he had a bad game!!! everyone cannot be 100% all the time and he is one of our most consistent players ....tonight was just one of those .... for me ,

if we are looking at the game on its own who should be dropped....

Milner - should be dropped breaks away and drops at the play the ball, penalty machine
Shenton .. None existent - couldn't catch for toffee
McShane stealing balls in tackles
Gale for putting up the repeated crap kicks to their backs
Roberts - responsible for the try cannot tackle for love nor money
Millington - in effective cause he was playing on one leg - shambolic the lack of effort from him
Massey - for getting injured

Come on it was a game we really struggled to get into, we got very little from the ref, he was way out of his depth at that level not good enough for this type of game and they got away with their usual holding down/head high shots.

Sometimes you have to look at it as 'one of those'

What I will say is that it was pretty apparent that Webster was having a mare and DP should have moved Wardle to centre and taken him off .... it didnt happen so heyho.

We move on and get them at our place next time

Webster needs dropping/resting whatever you want to dress it up as, won't do him any harm anyway

Robert's out and ellis back in for me, our right side in attack is non existent ever since Robert's went back to the halves

Milner, like as been said above, needs to reign the pens in a bit

Millo looked like he was playing on one leg and I know he said it wasn't serious I'd still give him a week off

What injury did Massey pick up??

Spot on about Luke's distance kicking - it's the worst of any half back in SL. Kick offs the same.

I'd also add we were:
- out tackled
- bullied up the middle by their fat lads
- both centres intimidated & bewildered
- Benny totally ineffective

I've never understood why we kick directly to the back three instead of finding grass.
We lack X Factor (we all know who)
Our RHS is offering nothing however I think Meeks is a better impact player than a 80min man
Trueman is not a fullback.
Alot of questions to be asked after tonight in quite a few areas

Based on that performance:
Webster
Milner
Shenton and;
Roberts
Would all be dropped.

However, it was one of those games and it would be a little harsh to look at it in isolation. Based on the season so far i think Powell does need to have a serious look at Milner, the needless penalties are becoming unforgivable IMO. I think we've got plenty of loose forward options which would offer more at the moment.

A centre with size and pace is sadly lacking pluss a no 6 who can create and make a break seems ages since we saw both
