Wouldn't mind seeing Ellis on the bench and use him as an interchange hooker for Mcshane. Or even Benny going in at 9 from the subs bench. It's something I feel we miss (interchanging Mcshane) Not that I'm saying he's not an 80 minute hooker but giving him a breather for 10 / 15 minutes can't harm.

now this won't happen. McShane is the most important player in our team. we would be shocking for the period he would be off the field.

I would be tempted to give millo a rest this week

I know he’s so important to go forward but he was struggling after that knock against Wigan no need risk players that are not fit

We should start with

Cook
McShane
Watts

Swapping with Milo & Moors

wardle holmes

foster

rest bench
McMeeken
JSL if fit or Massey

Ellis for Roberts

If Webbo gets a rest replace with Wardle and add Milner to the bench with McMeeks to SR

Wardle has played most of his rugby at left side centre and Shenton done if the few good right centres. I think Shenton is better on the right defending where most teams attack.

I think our right edge was caught out last week because Wigan did the unexpected. Reminded me of Gale's try at Wire last year. I expect the issue has been studied and addressed, and won't be caught half asleep again.

we have two stand offs Benny and Ellis both can be very good or can go missing, they both don't seem to produce the form we have all seen that they are capable of week on week, HO for a full back so we can try Trueman in is right full position in the halves

Benny will always start 6 for me. Hes not been great so far this year but thats on heavy ground which doesnt suit him. He is a confidence player so has to play, it can take one moment from him and he will be lighting it up for rest of the season.

Plus, we dont have another player on the pitch who can change a game like Benny.

My team would be;

Trueman
Minikin
Webster
Wardle
Shenton
Roberts
Gale

Cook
McShane
Massey
McMeeken
Holmes
Milner (If fit) / Foster

JSL
Millo
Watts
Foster / Moors

this but swap Warts with Cooky. Massey or Milner to miss out.

You are probably right, I was thinking a big bench to try pick the intensity up after 20 mins.

Running with a similar 19 as last week whilst taking into account the "Rumours".

1 Trueman
2 Minikin
3 Webbo
4 Shenton
5 Clare
6 Ellis
7 Gale
8 Cook
9 Macca
10 Massey
11 Holmes
12 McMeekan
13 Foster

14 Watts
15 Millo
16 Wardle
17 Milner/Roberts

I appreciate some people have been digging out their pitch forks for Webbo after Friday, but the bloke gets us on the front foot more often than not and seems to play well every time we play Wakey. I'd like to see both Watts and Millo come off the bench after around 20 minutes to replace our props, bringing these two on against a tiring pack could cause some damage, would like to see Trueman following both Watts & Millo more often, they both have a great offload game and can punch big holes in the defence.

Couldn't pick between Milner & Benny for the last bench spot, Milner offers us a lot in defence and attack, but again with Benny, he can offer us cover in a few positions and is still a pretty dangerous player.

Is Clare actually fit enough to play?
Same for Massey...
Watts won't start on the bench as he's a early exchanges prop.
Meeks has been better off the Bench

Milner needs to be given a Scarborough warning regarding his Disapline. He's giving teams around 100m of territory per game.

Bring Adam Fletcher back for a 3rd spell, that lad could score a try!

Just seen Phil Clark on Sky saying Wakefield will be well up for this and won't need any motivation and that they always do well against us.You not checked the last 9 results of Cas v Wakey you goon?

He then said that "Castleford only just beat Wakefield a few weeks ago" but strangely never mentioned Wakey have lost 6 of their last 7 games in the league this season.

He then went on to say he thought Wakey would win this one.
