TODAYS GAME

Post by classysupercas3 » 27 Apr 2018, 23:07

Ellis did ok but didn't take it by the scuff of the neck.springer did a game without dropping it or giving penalty's away. Watts very good.mcshane extremely good.wasnt impressed with wakey. Overall a good win to say we were a patched up side.truman did well again, but I would still like a reconised full back.hull next week a different scenario will be extremely tough.dont know if we have the ammunition to get a win.so gona go with a hull win.

Truey is doing great but he's not a full back, he's not consistent enough at getting into the line but is good under the high ball, hes going to be a good half for us in the future! We have been blessed with dorn and hardaker.
Middle men were great, watts,Meeks, macca.Gadwin was better than usual thought he did well, junior looked to be making more yards too.
Defence was solid! Can't complain tonight think it was decent, if we can get it clicking on the set plays we won't be far off

Forwards really took it to them second half. Wakey weren't gteat but got back in the game and really had momemtum end of first and early in the second half but we won the wrestle. Watts and Mcmeeken were really strong. Milner and Jesse had a big impact too. Glad Webbo got chance to put things right from last week.
Trueman not let us down at all tbf to the lad. Wakey top 8 but no great shakes. If they can't beat us without Gale and Roberts then gonna be a long wait.

Odd thing is, that according to the official stats until tonight Gadwin has only given away I penalty and made NO errors.

If anyone sees the pic of Webbo's head injury it tells you all you nees to know about his commitment. Unreal. Not for the faint of heart. Looks horrendous. Cannot believe he played on with that. Legend.

Seen it. It’s an awful cut, his head in parts looked caved in.
Hope he’s ok.

Ellis looked rusty and Trueman is just marginally off the pace in attack but defensively solid.

When macca scored his seemed to be getting shorter as he got towards us the WR end. Don't know where he found that pace and energy from.

Yes just on Truman, he was solid in catching but not really put under too much pressure so interesting to see when he has to jump and catch at the same time as to how solid he will be.

Also, the disallowed try in the corner on Minikin just in touch could have been scored if Truman had taken one step more before passing to him to draw the defender. So he needs to work on timing his pass to give the winger a better chance of scoring as it was slightly too early when he did pass. That comes with more experience.

Looks like we've found our new winger to take over from Milner - Macca!! :D
