over 40 years ago I had a kneecap fracture that was probably worse than lukes as it was shattered like crazy paving. I had a great doctor who was always sympathetic to sports injuries as he was a fan. after 4 weeks he advised me to take painkillers and walk or run as much as I could. he said there would be soreness and swelling as part of the healing process but this was a good thing rather than bad. maybe the out look has changed over the years but I'm confident if there are no complications luke will be back in 8 weeks.

I read somewhere tonight that it was soft tissue damage ligament/tendon on the patella rather than a patella fracture

I really can see arse up head down rugby for the next 3 months. Or, strangely, full on expansive rugby...

Where’s Rangi when you could do with him. Lol

Time for roberts to shine. Maybe time for Truman to shine at half.

Good excuse to sign a fullback. Or PLAY TURNER

Nice to see you’ve taken no notice of Admin telling you to stick to the Articles thread that was created for your articles, Callum!

Just in case you missed it on the other thread:

“Hi Callum, I welcome your posts and input, however could you please restrict posting links for your blogs to the Articles thread, which has been set up for that reason.

Thanking you in anticipation

Casmania”

I gave up with the forum until the news of Hardaker’s suspension gave me a reason to look what everyone was saying. I’d given up because almost every thread was either started by you to promote your blog, or hijacked by you to promote your blog. You’ve got your own area of the forum. The fact you post the same link in multiple threads, then don’t read them afterwards, shows you’re only bothered about diverting traffic away from the forum to your own blog, using the forum as a vehicle to get hits on your own blog. There are lots of people who have worked really hard to make this forum a success over many years. Stop abusing it for your own gain.

Spot on nottinghamtiger. However, expect a warning email from the admins (as I got) for upsetting poor little callum.

The thing is, I think his stuff is okay most of the time. What I object to is the forum being abused by him posting the same link in multiple places just so he can get a few more clicks.

I stopped reading when he put Matt Diskin as one of the best five hookers in the SL era. Lost what little respect I had for his articles at that point.

As the original Callum basher may I thank you all for finally seeing what to me was obvious in February. Fumper, I got your PM and tried to reply but made a hash of it!!!

For me the hobnob was taken when after calling me " a petty middle aged man" , which I class as a personal insult, he had the temerity to say that I had contacted him by PM (lie, admin could check) to steer himself out of the proverbial.

There seems to be one AUP for normal posters and another for darling Callum, who despite repeated warnings continues in the same vain.

"My take on it" is that we're dealing with a recent 2:2 graduate who started watching Cas halfway through the most successful season we've had in recent times and honestly believes that we're all thick enough to swallow whatever he writes.

Myself and notts tried to help him at the start, suggesting journos he could approach and correcting his grammatical errors. Many others weighed in to correct all the factual mistakes that he made.

If I tried to promote my business on here I would be told where to get off, which is how it should be imo.

To cap it all, this is the guy who tweeted that Ollie Holmes didn't deserve a new contract.

I rest my case.

To be fair, in public I just highlighted his factual errors. I didn’t even bother with the grammar and punctuation issues.
I doubt he’ll read this thread now though. He’s seemingly only interested in leaving a link to his own articles, so he’s done everything he needs to do in this thread!

That's the point though Notts, when he started we were all happy to help in whatever way. Little could we have believed that he would start posting articles on a daily basis. Without any sort of shame whatsoever.
