I hope they play. Half fit players against a team with half a squad available will suit is just fine.

If you study the video he got no help at all from Shenton for the first try, he was rooted to the spot with his back to the play. The second Charnley try was due to an overlap with Milner in the bin, give the bloke some leeway.
Re: Hull KR (Home)
Yeah agree. Posted something similar explaining that for one of Charnley's tries we were a man down. Thought Jy had a very decent game on Friday.sparky49 wrote:Mysterio wrote:I wasn’t happy with Jy’s D v Wire, I’d swap him out.

Re: Hull KR (Home)
I’m with the opinion that Jy’s defence isn’t up to SL standards.
Firstly, he’s far too short and doesn’t have the jumping ability to catch a high attacking kick to the corner.
Secondly, he’s too small to stop his opposition winger one-on-one near the line.
He’s got a decent attacking game, makes some good metres on kick returns and holds his position well out wide when we are attacking.

Hitchcox when picked as never let us down, Charnley is a big unit not many wingers could stop him in full flight yes he did run over Hitchcox but from that distance from the line he is devastating and would have beaten most, I would like us to keep Hitchcox as a squad player

Can we really afford to waste our overseas quota sports on cover, especially when we have young talent who need chances like Egodo, Gill and Turner ?gateman wrote:Hitchcox when picked as never let us down, Charnley is a big unit not many wingers could stop him in full flight yes he did run over Hitchcox but from that distance from the line he is devastating and would have beaten most, I would like us to keep Hitchcox as a squad player
If we are bringing people over from the other side of the world I would like to believe they are going to add something to our first 17.
Re: Hull KR (Home)
Just because he's a quota spot don't mean he's on big money? Because of the salary cap you have to get best value for money player's from where ever there's some big wage earners from this country I would have jy before at other clubs.

What about if we bring them over from Featherstone, though?Sharlotiger wrote:If we are bringing people over from the other side of the world I would like to believe they are going to add something to our first 17.

Re: Hull KR (Home)
Personally I feel it is hard on Jy and a few others who have made their lives here how the quota system operates, but as a club we have to do our best to make sure our quota spots are filled by better than we can get at home.nottinghamtiger wrote:What about if we bring them over from Featherstone, though?Sharlotiger wrote:If we are bringing people over from the other side of the world I would like to believe they are going to add something to our first 17.
Maybe now would be a good time to look at the quota system again, the product on the field is becoming much weaker with the likes of Toronto taking players away from the SL comp and I would like a system by where a overseas player can come off the list if he as s given 5 years service to the same club over here and doesn't count whilst he stays with that club.

Re: Hull KR (Home)
I to sympathise with jy and he seems very popular with the other players, re his defence I remember last year at headingley he had ryan hall in his back pocket. also in the home fixture against saints 3 times he turned round and caught regan grace.

I hope not.
Re: Hull KR (Home)
If Milner had broken Eden's jaw before the Wire game, would he really have played? I seriously doubt it.
