Don't agree. Admittedly first try was a bit easy. Second try, a fluke, third try a big lad forcing his way over, fourth try a last tackle kick when we were gassed.
We've had better days, but scored 5 to 4. No panic. I actually thought Minikin had a good game.
He def played better than the Warrington game. Foster for me has to be our right centre for the reminder of 2018.
Yes foster does pal

When you have Moors having to play something like 55 minutes you have problems. Thought we killed them in opening quarter but the tide turned when they brought on Lunt. They did well to slow the ruck down and killed any momentum we had. Thought Vaivai was excellent and their best player. Seen some people questioning attitude and effort but for me that wasn’t lacking at all. The boys did everything they could to get us over the line but were just outdone by a fresher team towards the end. Shame because with a fully fit rotated bench I reckon we would have won comfortably.

Would have won with conversions.
We beat Warrington who we didn’t think we would so in essence we have surpassed our expectations of only having 2 pts/4. Silver linings and all that.

Onwards to Wigan which now is a bigger game given we are an extra point behind them.

Looks as though he was limping since he went Down with about 25 mins left and then saw him leave in a moon boot with crutches.

Thought everyone put effort in today, might have been a disappointing result but still got a point and in 4th spot with a game in hand and if we win will take us to third.

I agree. I didn't leave questioning our attitude today. Also when you have a young and inexperienced spine , it won't always go well. Not to mention we were in their half once in the last 10 mins.

Thought moors had a really strong game which was pleasing.

Also to add, we are usually quick to look at our own players and pick fault but I thought KR defended really well in the 2nd half. Scrambled well and really cleared their lines. Got some decent speed up and made some good metres. They tried every inventive trick in the book and it paid off for them. Credit where it’s due. Taking the Cas blinkers off, I thought it was a decent game for the neutrals. Entertaining, a bit of controversy, fairly matched side. Guess the pleasing thing is that KR could only scrape a draw against a side missing 8, and by the early second half missing 12 first teamers. Shows how good our strength in depth is.

They've got ample injuries too.

Granted they have but I'm not sure all would have played. They were missing Heffernan, Minns, McGuire, Kavanagh, Addy, Lee, Carney, Lawler really that would be in/around first team squad. Not sure all of those would have got in their 17 if all fit though.

We had Eden, Ellis, Gale, Roberts, Watts, Millo, Clare, Springer missing, of which 6 would definitely be in our 17. We then lost an extra 4 during the game, meaning arguably 10 first teamers down.

As a few people have said, the game seemed to changed when Lunt came on but I also noticed a shift in momentum once Hull swapped their wingers over. The young lad on the right was having a shocker, but once Shaw swapped wings we struggled to get by - the usual shift or kick to the left was not as effective.

I agree that Lunt changed the game and it was obvious that Cas couldn't cope with him when he mixed up their attacking plays.
I also think that HKR's tactics of slowing us down in the tackle was allowed by the inexperienced Ref which prevented any real flow to the game. Having said that, it appeared that we were OK with a slow play of the ball as their was very little struggling to regain their feet by the Cas players. If you watch Wigan players, for example, they are constantly wriggling and fighting to regain their feet which makes it obvious that the opposition are trying to slow them down at the tackle. Maybe something we need to try?
Once HKR had adjusted to our game plan we really didn't have players on the pitch who could change our tactics. When you look at our pivotal positions there is definitely a lack of 'craft' there and it only took the introduction of Lunt to expose this. In short DP gave us a plan A but no plan B.
