I'm all for it. Keep our players playing in and around our club. Keeps them around our culture and training can only help development And recuperation after injury. Top players need to regain match fitness before being thrown in at the deep end.

The players on loan to Championship clubs are "around our club" The Championship clubs are part timers so the full time loanees spend their days with Cas

Trueman won't be in the reserves. He's a first team regular now and will get better.

Personally think reserve grade idea is rubbish too costly and comes at the expense of lower league doesn't really promote youth I'd much rather see a comp of u21/23s poss with the ability to play 4/5 players over the age. Think that way it's possible to be able to full fill the fixtures and give young players a few more years to develope.

I believe Reserves much better option than letting our players sit on sidelines without a game, or maybe loaning out to a league 1 or championship club, when we are stuck without call back for a month.

If you had the 21/23 scenerio I recon wed still be able to play most of our players that have been out on loan with the 4 over ages players gives good room for movement in that and helps the younger players prepare for super league.

the reason the second teams were scrapped was to save MONEY , I used to attend the second team matches years gone bye when we had some decent attendances to watch them obviously it was not financially viable , if its not made compulsory for all clubs to run a second team we should carry on with what we are doing its not working out too badly for us

I think they should do an academy u21s with the option of playing 6-8 first teamers to keep them match fit also breaking the young lads into open age rugby.
