Great responses fellas and just what the 'debate' needs. 8)
As with so many things Cas related, I'll believe it when I see it but don't think DP is gong anywhere anytime soon...

Well done for taking the lead on this topic.Matt wrote:Sure is. My friend knows someone near headingley stadium who has a dog and the dog spoke to their cat and mentioned seeing Powell down at the stadium this morning with a contract in his hand hugging Ronnie the Rhino.Flat Capper wrote:Thanks for that, he's definitely off then!
He would have taken a photo but he's a dog after all, that and he was distracted by a great looking stick, easily in the top 10 he's ever had.
Believe him 100% as he's always in the know and wouldn't lie about this.
Cats are not generally a good saucer of information and this feline sounds like he/she is milking this for attention.
The real story is more like Hetheringtons inability to see that, at Headingly, the tail is wagging the dog these days...

I'm not sure, the cat seems to be a good source of information. I mean it doesn't really care what happens in RL so I doubt it would lie and Roger the dog is solid - full pedigree and loyal to his club.. sorry owners.SuffolkTiger wrote:Well done for taking the lead on this topic.Matt wrote:Sure is. If we can't trust cats and dogs how can we ever believe some guy down the pub who saw Powell in Leeds? Seems logical to me

Re: Will the rhinos come calling ?
Sounds like tosh, you can go to any school or college with the right money. Leeds grammar and QEGS are the best around and fee paying. You can apply for dispensation to attend any school out of area.tigers8rhinos wrote:rumour from a rhino friend is powell wants is lad in this school/college in york and leeds willing to help. told him personal i believe dp is a man of his word and when he says he is staying i believe
Re: Will the rhinos come calling ?
Add to the list Ackworth which is less than 2 miles from DPs home
Re: Will the rhinos come calling ?
Is DP's lad a sporty type? In York there's Ethelbert's, it's a fee paying school that I believe do sports scholarships amongst of course other things, my nephew went there on Rugby union type scholarship, they have links with Leeds rugby union (who he's played for in the U19's or some such level) who used to have links with the Rhino's, coincidence?tigers8rhinos wrote:rumour from a rhino friend is powell wants is lad in this school/college in york and leeds willing to help. told him personal i believe dp is a man of his word and when he says he is staying i believe

Daryl words “people can rest easy” “I’ve a couple of years, after, this one and I full intention of being here for that time” so nay sayers how you gonna put spin on that...and why isn’t this in the rumour section?
what doesn't kill me simply makes me...stranger.

They can mention him all they want. Just shows lazy journalism when he’s said this:

That is the kind of attitude you want to hear as a fan from your coach. Give the man a 10 year contract. That kind of attitude should almost certainly fire up the boys on Sunday, as it should.HuddsTigers wrote:They can mention him all they want. Just shows lazy journalism when he’s said this:

Leeds to make a significant announcement tomorrow regarding their coach.
Rumours are that it’s either Tony Smith or Denis Betts until the end of the season.
