Do some research, he’s 27 and saints wanted him, but he chose Leigh for the ££££

Hardly finishing his career....

I think we could sign the best player in the world and some would still find fault in it. Not exactly sure what your issue is? You probably haven't even seen him play for Leigh.

His best. Game was in champion bash but its hard to judge at that lower standard ashton looks good in championship just pointing out a team pushing for top four would make more ambitious signing s or get left mid table in the future. Dont want to finish up we a scrap yard off championship players we long contracts like ellis

You mean like Wigan signing a lad from Swinton who was the best player in the derby last week? (They're 2nd)

You mean like Warrington who have signed a player from Leigh? (They're third)

Yes I agree we need a quality addition or two more I disagree that Mata'utia is poor as he's played in the championship and I disagree that championship signings are poor.

Godwin signed to go to Leigh they were obviously offering big bucks you just have to watch Mata'utia play see he's class

good point but they have also signed more ambitious players to complement them not another load off championship players its about getting balance right

Warrington - more ambitious. Akauola and Roberts as an example this season? I’d rather have Mitch Clark than the former, and the latter has been average all year despite the high salary he’s commanding.

Proof in the pudding that signing big name Aussies doesn’t always pay off and you can get someone just as good for significantly less cap space.
In the spirit of the final Blackadder episode - Goooodbyeee!

Looking forward to seeing Lewis Carr also develop in the FT environment. A lad that's been scoring for fun should be knocking the door of the senior team for me.
Exactly. If Lewis Carr was at a club like Wigan,he’d of been given a chance in the first team already given his try scoring ratio in the 19s
What position is Carr?
Winger
Can also play fullback.

Lewis played full back during his junior days at normanton but its a whole different ball game even at 19s rugby even more so the way we play.cracking winger and finished.however I believe Lewis as only signed a 1 year contract and not the 2.

Very gritty performance from the 19s who were severely depleted wining 20-22 at hull and got absolutely nothing from the ref.

Mata'utia has played 70 games in NRL for Knights and Dragons. How many current players in our squad have that pedigree ?
