Paul mcshane

Post by old cas lass » 17 Aug 2018, 23:10

Just been reading a few comments on a couple of Facebook rugby league sites.
I’ve noticed quite a few fans from other clubs are talking about macca being a candidate for MOS. What do we think. Is he consistently better than Roby, at the moment I would say yes.
He out classed daz tonight. Barba seems to have gone off the radar.

So guys and gals, what your thoughts on Paul mcshane MOS, As a nice ring to it.
Or is it ludicrous.

Not ludicrous.
Complete player
Cheeky
Communicator
Tackler
Kicker
Get under the skin
Creative
Line speed good hands
Apart from that a pretty ordinary player
Wakefield must have been really grateful we took him off their hands and gifted them Scott Moore as a replacement.

It's picked by the players not fans. I think Barba will get it. Caused players havoc this season

Carney's recent SKY comments on the way that the MOS is decided was total common sense: highlighting the difference between the MOS and the Dally M. We really need to sort out the MOM and, as they do for the DM - award points for 1st 2nd 3rd MOM.

But to reply to the OP; how PM still is not in the National set up is incredible. He has to be one of the most complete rugby players in the world at the moment. It has been a tough old season for us and PM has been a leader and performing outstandingly since the off. He just seems to get better and better.

Without blowing any trumpets, I've been saying for months that :-

a) Macca is the best value signing that DP has ever made,

b) that he should be in the England squad,

c) that he ought to be the club captain.

Also probably the best coach in the NCL which indicates how good his rugby brain is.

Isn't that the Luke Gale Medal. Although won't be this year.

But seriously the way sky decide the man of the match and sometimes the players they choose it'd be a right farce if we went with their picks.

Only Roby and Clark better than him in SL, although Dazzler is a different type of player in many ways.
Don't know enough about NRL to judge rest.

It’s hard to compare because Macca is a different type of hooker , he’s almost like a third half back with his rugby brain and kicking game . Daz and Roby are direct pick up and scoot players who can only play well on the back of a dominant pack . Roby still the best in the league for me though as an overall player , closely followed by Macca .

Fully agree with you there.

You wouldn't have Clarke or Roby setting up the try for junior (nice little grubber kick). Or the one for Eden's second.

A fantastic all round hooker with a brilliant rugby brain. Don't think I would swap him for any other hooker in SL
