It's not needlessly mocking him at all. It's looking at the facts. He's earning a very good wage for not playing. RL is a business and he is giving us nothing while taking money. It's not good for the club where the money could be going elsewhere.

Who has said to break his contract? All I've said is we shouldn't think about renewing it. He's missed too much game time to earn a new deal where his wage could go elsewhere.

Many people are suggesting that we “get rid” of him ahead of next year. I don’t think anyone would be thinking about renewing at the end of next year based on current circumstances.

By get rid I don't think they mean terminate his contract. I think they mean offer him out to teams. See if anyone bites to open up a quota and salary spot.

Reading the posts fans have very mixed views but at the end of the day how long do you stand by a player.. fact is he’s been injured more than he’s played call it bad luck whatever but sport is a business based on results and you can only stand by someone for so long .. I’m sorry to say this but I think we need to cut our losses and look for a replacement.. to be a top team you can’t always keep a player based on how good they could be if not injured you need them on the pitch all season not just 8 to 10 a season

Posted on his Instagram he's gutted that Jake is leaving at the end of the season.

Which would suggest to me he is planning on playing for Cas after this season.

He is such a talent but hit and miss. His defence in the right edge is brilliant most of the time and he can make a try out of nothing. But he's not fast or fit enough for fullback. Got the ability though.

he's a bit of a conundrum is benny. if we look back at jakes first couple of seasons we all wanted him gone but after that we were all begging cas to extend his contract. a lot will come down to our medical staff and if in their opinion he has been unlucky or if he is indeed injury prone.
hypothetical i know but if he came back next year and performed injury free for the whole season in the style we know he can. would we then be saying give him another year?

I think there’s much more than just his injury record with Benny and that is that he takes up an overseas spot, and whether his salary could be better utilised.

And on top of that the rise of Trueman and he’s not a guaranteed starter either, particularly with Ellis and Aston back in the fold too.

Then it also comes down to Benny too. He may have personal designs on going back home especially if he has a family to consider.

If Roberts is back, I hope Trueman isn’t left out.
Rather Roberts be on the bench. Let’s see what Trueman/gale combo can do.

Ellis as always been a squad player, as much as he’s done ok for us, it’s the business end of the season, we need our better players in the team, Roberts and gale should be as fresh as a daisy. Let’s hope they don’t pick up anymore injuries, especially Roberts.

only because Roberts was given the number 1 shirt and we had no one else.

Giving Roberts the number one shirt was one of the few mistakes DP as made, the lad looked lossed, will we see Benny back on the field the jury is out
