I'm not too bothered about having to travel it's a semi final 50/50. We had the home tie last year and tbh we didn't handle the pressure well when we had the game won and should have lost in the end.

We has supporters can play a huge part if we travel,no reason at all why we cannot take 3/4 thousand fans with us regardless of what night it's on.

IF we do finish 3rd and we go to Wigan as many people have said it's a "one off 50/50" game

Fans need to bust a gut to get there and fill the away stand. It will make a difference to the players and let's face it Wigans supporters hardly generate an atmosphere to rival River Plate vs Boca Juniors....

Is there a fixed night on which the 1st v 4th and 2nd vs 3rd games are played? i.e. Which is Thu and which is Fri?

Team who finishes first usually opts for the Thursday night as it gives more recuperation time

It's likely we'll have a trip to Wigan in the semi-final. Hopefully this is the year the away semi-finalists finally come through in the Super 8s. Really wouldn't be surprised to see 3rd v 4th at Old Trafford.

Wane's last game for Wigan...remember back in 99 when we spoiled Murray's last game at Leeds in the play-offs? Maybe history can repeat itself.

With close to a fully fit squad and a bit of momentum from these last few games, there's no reason why we can't go one better than last season. If nothing else, it would be some poetic justice for 2017.

If we do play Wigan away in the Semi, a defensive performance akin to the 2014 CC QF should see us through.

We looked much more fluid with Gale on the pitch last weekend, hopefully that can only improve.

Whats this all about? Are you saying the rumoured Saints players are big game players for them?

No reason we can't still catch Wigan yet.

3 points behind....
If we beat Hudds at home. Wigan play Warrington and Warrington are playing pretty well.

Then we play Wakey at home. Wigan travel to Hudds who seem to do OK vs Wigan.

Need Warrington to do us a favour Friday though.

I disagree. Want Warrington who are just 2 points behind us and a better points diff to get beaten.
We might not get a result at saints especially if we have that Gap

But that's giving up on 2nd. I would rather the challenge for 2nd stay alive. We could be 1 point off after Friday.

Second went when we lost to Wigan. 3 games and we have to win 3 and them loose 2
Can’t see that ( them loosing 2 )

It actually is that simple isn't it?

Can we beat 2 of either Wigan, Saints or Wire (both games almost certainly on away turf- one neutral) in the space of 8 or 9 days?

Anything is possible - one thing for certain if we do is that it will take 8 or 9 days to sober up.....
