Is this the right moment to really invest in a Marquee signing...

There's an opportunity with various players leaving or being moved on.

Let's not waste the chance to kick on again for 2019

8-[ When you're waiting for someone to pull it apart

Also be interesting to know how much extra money we received from the GF/runners-up and winning the LLS, which isn't mentioned.

Great news but, in fairness, the best ever year off the field coinciding with the best ever year on it is hardly surprising.

That profit would increase if we get are free ground no maintenance part from pitch and better commercial side . but at the end off the day product on the field is the main thing that will increase attendances people wont pay to watch rubbish even in a new staduim .

I know plenty disagree but I still believe the Hardaker saga still worked out well for us. Yes we paid £150,000 for him but the play off and final appearance as well as winning LLS. Plus shirt sales and due to our great play increase in ticket sales last year I believe we still made a profit from him.
Would we have made the final if it wasn't for him?
Would we have won LLS without him?

Questions we will never fully know the answer to but I don't believe we would have honestly.

The bit that sticks out for me is where we have made a profit for 4 years on the bounce without any financial hand-outs from our benefactors/BOD - unlike Wigan, Warrington, Saints, Hull FC, Catalans and Hudds.

I highly doubt that. As Commercial Director, Mark Grattan was the one controlling much of the financial side.

The interesting thing in the accounts is that the Directors' Loan account has gone from £2.36m in 2015 to just £120,000 in 2017.

Completely wiped out pretty much. Robbo may be able to clarify or another director, but is this because it was converted into shares?

Yes - that is correct Hudds.

Over 7500 people in ground on Saturday shows the interest in the club is on the up and up as tigerade said every second person you walk past in town as got a top with a cas badge on
Time to spend some of money on a marquee signing me thinks

I would imagine we are second (behind Leeds) when it comes to "clubs least likely to sign a marquee player". You never know though, we could have a change of heart if the right player became available.

That was not my interpretation but if we get an AGM I will ask that question.
It’s very good news

You appear at the moment to have a settled squad, could someone walking in as a marquee player with a marquee contract unsettle the harmony? I'm not sure I'd risk it.
