Oli Holmes
Good news that his Injury is a lower grade hamstring injury.
The physio staff are hopeful he’ll be back for the semi final.

Re: Oli Holmes
Not fussed either way if he is not. Means Wardle can play 2nd row and not centre and we can play Webster thereold cas lass wrote:Good news that his Injury is a lower grade hamstring injury.

Re: Oli Holmes
Perhaps a word wishing the lad well and a speedy recovery would be a tad more appropriate

The more bodies we have to pick from the more players have to fight for places instead of thinking, oh well I’m a shoe in.
Strange reply from you there fords.
Re: Oli Holmes
Competition for places and keep people performing when it really matters
Re: Oli Holmes
One of the most consistent hard working players this year and has also scored a hat full of tries to boot and you come out with a crass statement like that? Unbelievable! Re: Oli Holmes
You only get competition for positions when players are fit.

Not saying that i don't wish him welldaytona wrote:One of the most consistent hard working players this year and has also scored a hat full of tries to boot and you come out with a crass statement like that? Id rather see Webster at centre and Wardle & McMeeken in 2nd row. That's my opinion.
Re: Oli Holmes
Agree with Ford's, just not how he worded it. Would much prefer to see Lefao at 2nd row with McMeekan or Wardle in there. Don't see why DP has suddenly fallen out of love with Webster, we're always a better team with him at centre, and don't see over the last couple of months what would have changed DP's mind about him. Please dont anyone give me the " we're planning for nect season " line. Last time i looked we're in this one, and so should play our strongest 17, and for me, that includes Webster but excludes Holmes. I think thats what Fords was trying to say, and if so, I totally agree.
Re: Oli Holmes
Agreed on the planning for next season line! That's shocking if true. When we have a chance of a major trophy in this one why the hell would we plan for next year. Play our best 17 every week now to get them moulding together for the semi final.
Start throwing some of the Cas magic around like last year. Even if it means dropping a few balls now we may master it come October.

That's exactly what i was meaning. I could have worded it better i guess.Jonny1975 wrote:Agree with Ford's, just not how he worded it.
