hey guys....what a surprise nudge nudge wink wink...
I’ll tell you something else too; I can almost personally guarantee that this won’t be the last time he’s caught doing something wrong or unlawful.
You have my assurances.
Who knows, he might be less under the spotlight if Wigan release him...

The biggest surprise is that it's taken so long for this latest episode. The lad can't help pressing the self destruct button.

'Hardaker charged with drink-driving'

Not only the drink driving but also driving without MOT or insurance as well. Does the lad not have anything between his ears?

He missed a GF for a failed drugs test... Not the act of someone capable of thinking ahead.ERG2012 wrote:Well maybe it's a tactical move to get out of a contract..... Just a thought....
If this is tactical it's like chopping your hands off to avoid the washing up.

The Wigan club statement is no comment until 11th October.

No it does not.usacas wrote:Vindicates Steve Gill for sacking him.
At the time there was no rush in sacking him.
Had we held put until he only got a 14month ban. We could have demanded a transfer fee. We wouldn't have had to pay him until November. As he was banned. Same as Wigan haven't.
I aren't saying Steve wasn't right to not want him at the club. But it cost us money. And we run a tight ship. We could have cashed in.
If Wigan keep him. He will repay them on the field. He's the best full back in this country by a mile. But it's going to take a giant leap of faith.

Re: Well that didn't take long......
I wonder how many Cas fans that wanted him to stay will come on here and Laugh at Wigan?
Best thing we did was to get rid of him. He is an accident just waiting to happen.

Re: Well that didn't take long......
Wigan may employ David Beckhams brief if so no charge to answer, they managed to get his drug ban lowerd this may be their next step
Re: Well that didn't take long......
I understand Wigan invested in there little plan to get him off the two year ban everybody expected but in the weeks before he signed for them he was trying to get cas to offer him what Wigan were so he would come back to cas he shows all the signs of not wanting to be there he dosnt want to leave Ponte on the first days of his training with Wigan he's pulled for drink driving in a car with no m.o.t and no insurance with police investigating matters further if Wigan don't sack him off id be amazed

It's been said before, but there comes a time when principles and values are more important than names.
I'm nobody with inside information so I have to take things at face value, and if you promote yourselves as a family club based on integrity and decent behaviour, then you have to sometimes take a stand.
Zak's indiscretion wasn't the first time, as anyone at Leeds will tell you. They had seen enough.
I can also understand the view which suggests we stand by Zak, but if we had him back then any future incidents maybe involving a less valuable asset would have a precedent set.
If it had been some fringe player most would have wanted him sacked.

There’s still something in me saying he’d get his act together were he here with Powell & Wells et al.
