Re: TONIGHTS GAME
Pretty lame effort tbh started off ok but then 60 minutes of going through the motions.
Don't read anything into tonight it was no more than a open training session.

Re: TONIGHTS GAME
I didn't expect us to win tonight. But i did think we would register a score of some kind. How are we going to break Wigan down?, and if we do Saints in the final?

They had no Tomkins, Marshall, Isa, Leuluai, Burgess, Flower, O’Loughlin.

I think we have to pray that Warrington beat saints, and we of course have to beat Wigan first. It could be pretty embarrassing if we play saints in the final

Pretty much what plenty of Leeds fans thought last year.Leeds tiger wrote:I think we have to pray that Warrington beat saints, and we of course have to beat Wigan first. It could be pretty embarrassing if we play saints in the final
Re: TONIGHTS GAME
Yes tonight's game meant nothing, with the team we turned out I should have thought we would have at least competed , I still hope we stick it up and Wigan and get to Manchester that's been the goal all season win or loose little old CAS are still punching above their weight , COME ON YE FORD

Re: TONIGHTS GAME
Tonight's results/performance's will have no bearing on next week. . Yes we were below poor but saints weren't exactly on fire although better than us where we probably gave our worst display of the season since our last visit to saints "nothing new their" I've seen that since I was a teenager.
Only worry for me is yet again we allow our players an overnight stay and yet again they turn out like its a jolly boys outing,I'm told next weeks the same and although I see the sense in traveling early do we really need to be sat in a hotel room playing on the Xbox all day before the biggest game of the season.

Re: TONIGHTS GAME
Wigan rested 4 with Tommy injured so not much different to what we did. They struggled to beat a poor Hull team.

Re: TONIGHTS GAME
We now go in to next Friday either, with no momentum or we use last night as a benchmark that failure is not an option. I hope it's the latter.
Re: TONIGHTS GAME
I struggle to understand what the thinking was from Powell either send a very young team who will go full pelt or play the game like saints did who were getting themselves ready for a semi final , line speed well done on what it usually is players going through the motions waiting for the final whistle to sound I always thought playing the game in that manor was the best way to pick up injuries luckily that does not look like it happened on this occasion
The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have

Re: TONIGHTS GAME
I fear now, that Saints have a psychological advantage over us, should we meet them at Old Trafford. They've beaten us soundly 4 times this year, in the league and cup. We've not even managed to put in at least a decent performance. The aggregate score against them this season is 146-40. That's alarming.
