I don’t think I’ve seen Eden pass a ball since the St Helens game. This is a good thing.heritage1926 wrote:Eden had a good game tonight, however, interesting to see that he also doesn't trust Egodo and didnt pass to him.

Re: MINIKIN
Thought we would have got hammered today so to loose in Wigans back yard by 2 points is not the end if the world. Thought Clare and Minikin both had decent games after the shocker for Clare in the last game. Winnings a habit and do is losing and we will br mid table before we get the better players back in the side. We miss Gale, we just don't puf on the attacking moves like we used to do. However at the business end of the season these poor attacking games at the moment might make other teams miss judge our attack at the crucial games

Re: MINIKIN
Thought minikin had a solid game, yes he should have taken the tackle but maybe after 78 minutes of building pressure with nothing to show for it maybe he thought he needed to try something off the cuff? Thought clare also played well apart from letting that high kick bounce in no mans land!
On another point how can a half back win MOM when we lost and didnt score a try? He played well but we could have played another half hour and still not scored

He has nowhere near the skill set to be a centre at this level. Winger yes, but that is all.SREGITSAC wrote:Are you real? Greg could have taken the tackle instead of passing there at the end, but other than that he had a solid game, only player to make a proper break, kept Gildart and Burgess quiet on that edge. I think he is finally settling into the position.

Re: MINIKIN
Thought he had his best game of the season yesterday. Would be able to judge if he could have a while at centre with our first choice half-backs on the pitch.

We'll see a better Greg when he's playing outside Blair.

Re: MINIKIN
Minikins a decent player especially if he's stays a wingman id say he's more than decent if he plays there

If true a total admission of failure from Powell to tell a player not yet half way through his overlong contract that he’s no longer wanted. I wouldn’t blame him for seeing out the rest of his contract.Tigersbarmy wrote:Jamie Ellis been told free to find a new club end of season
Some of our dealings put me in mind of Leeds United during the Ridsdale years, over generous contracts to ordinary players.

Re: MINIKIN
Unsurprisingly I disagree with your comments regarding Powell and it being an "admission of failure". If anything, it's a matter of circumstance - nothing to do with failure or bad recruitment on Powell's part.alftupper wrote:If true a total admission of failure from Powell to tell a player not yet half way through his overlong contract that he’s no longer wanted. When he signed it was unexpected that Trueman would go on to be such a significant first team player (I believe he only played what, 2 games, in 2017?). Ellis was intended to be 3rd choice half when he signed but Hardaker's transgression meant we ended up with him starting and Roberts at FB. Trueman was cover with Aston coming into replace McLelland.
Since then Trueman has been superb for the most part, Rankin has come in and been great cover, perhaps has a better skillset adapted to our game, and Aston has proven himself to be decent back-up too. Others have taken their chances while he's been sat out injured. That's an unfortunate circumstance for him but that's life.
He's now in a situation where his game time at Cas is going to be limited and he's got to play to get himself back in the window for a deal after his current contract expires. It's in everyone's best interest (him for first team rugby/contract down the line) and for us (salary cap space) for him to look elsewhere.

Re: MINIKIN
Don't talk so stupid Trueman as bin way out of is death this season. Tbh I don't see all the hype about him he as bin very very poor. All he seems to want to do is kick the ball is vision and is play making is not even championship rugby level, ashot as bin far better than him this season.

Clearly the same person behind at least 3 accounts, it's about time mods did something other than saying ignore them, forum is going down the toilet because of troll accounts.

I do wonder whether this is a Wakey fan.
Only last night there was a thread involving posts slagging off Casforum users again on RLFANS because of a rumour posted on here. Do wonder whether someone is trying to play silly beggars to get a reaction.
