Greg Eden!

Post by Mysterio » 27 Apr 2016, 18:04

So... I read that Mr Eden could be on his way to us.

Can anyone else confirm/deny this is true. I'm not sure what to believe nowadays, it's all smoke and mirrors....p

If true, he'd be an excellent signing IMO. A few years ago his name was mentioned and I felt along the same lines as I do now about .keiran Dixon...but...Eden clearly is coachAboe whereas KD isn't!

Eden would be a good replacement for Joel if we were to get rid

If true wouldn't mind him rejoining us, wish we'd have given him a chance first time but as with Brierley the regime at the time wasn't willing too. Saying that he had a great first full season then went backwards the second but lots of players suffer the dreaded 2nd season syndrome. I think he'll come back a better player if signed.

People were saying the same about Ben Crookes and his turnstile defence but look how improved he's been.

Eden looked excellent on attack but was no doubt error prone in every game I saw him play.

If it's true it's definitely a positive signing as long as he's improved in the way Ben has.

In talks, signed, or signing?

I'm quite excited about this one; an absolute ready made replacement and arguably better than Dorny, and that goes for attack too.

Can play wing, centre, half back too!

If we can shore up his frailties, this, alongside a nasty prop signing could be us going all out next year if we have a decent run with injuries.

Probably because we shouldn't even be talking to him yet so he's not going to say yes we've signed him!

How wrong was I! He's proved me and others wrong so far. Tbh though, I expected him to be coming as our only fullback. Since then we've got Hardacre. Also Greg was used as a right winger and we have put him as left.

Jess still not 100% with the high ball but Dorn want either.
