I said last night if take Gallen for a season. Might be 36 when he got here but he still does a solid 80 each week in the NRL to a high standard so would have no problems fitness wise.

i agree get 2-3 good players in and this club will be unstoppable -we got the right back room staff to work with any player.

Every club needs 2 or 3 good players more. With the rise of such as Minikin and McMeeken, and our other top players, we will be facing an interesting salary cap conundrum in the next year or two. You can't pay them all top whack, which is why every club is 2 or 3 players away from utopia, and always will.
One thing that Diamond said was that we should have paid Denny what he was worth, but worth changes. In our team, a lot of players are appreciating in value match by match, and spending under the cap is not an option if we wish to stay at the top.

Exactly this isn't the same as winning £450k in court where our costs would have also been covered.
I wouldn't have a clue how much they will be but will take a chunk out of that right away.
Then there is the £100-£200K for Zak (Depending on who you listed to).

Either way still leaves us with a good amount in the back pocket. If this is indeed correct.

This £450k appears to have got its origins in Internet forums etc nothing official anywhere. However I think it's fair to assume the Castleford club and legal reps will be looking a for a figure which will either include their costs being covered in addition to the settlement figure. E.g. cas will probably have said we want walk away from this deal with £xxxxx the legal reps will say our bill will be £zzzz therefore we need to be looking for a figure of xxx + zzzz.

Exactly and if it is settled out of court and we don't end up going back to court at a later date, i guess we wont know how much money exchanges hands... First thing i'd do with any money (if i was in charge) is make sure we get Zak signed up.
