It's a yes from me, with an uplift in remuneration and regular allowances for trips back to his land.

Would he be worth a longer than 3 year deal? I'd have thought so.

He can be the main man in our pack for years to come if he continues to improve and learn under DP. He is no doubt DPs biggest success story in terms of improving a player, I'm sure many will remember his first few games consisting of knock ons, lack of English meaning he struggled to work out where to stand for plays, horrendous tackle technique which is slowly improving.. If this lad has taught us anything it is to give someone a chance, don't judge them after a couple of performances for us.

I think the club might be reluctant to give out long deals after the JC incident but I would offer 3 year with an extension option in clauses

Perhaps even more, I'd tried to forget that poor bit of business...

If we ran a thread on the length of the grass on the pitch, the Massey Bashers would find a way to moan about him.

Absolutely 100% correct but even though he was undoubtedly raw deep down you could tell he had something special.

Still young but if we looked after him right personally, professionally and financially I would be surprised if he looked elsewhere to play.

The bloke seems a good guy it's down to Steve Gill to keep him.

He could be one of the best in the comp. DP is the right man to coach him, if he's serious about his rugby league and there's a decent offer on the table at Cas sign that deal Gerry lad!

I'd give him 5 years as he could continue to improve for all 5. this season I can see him coming off the bench when things are flagging and really lifting the team.

Let's hope he doesn't retire from rugby league if he does sign a new contract [-X

I like Massey. He's solid, compliments the rest of the team well.

In all fairness, so do I. He can run to the line and pass. That's what we need. We just COULD get more out of a player IF we move to the next level?

Constancy is the key for props. Lynchy does the basics so well but is also a leader.

Massey is consistent and needs to add something to his game. Maybe aggression, like beefy England had.

Agree.

To me, Massey could put on another 7 or 8kg, even more, in muscle. Combine that will ball skills and you have a top prop. Thing is for Nathan unless he adds something to his game, he'll be left behind in the next 2 seasons.

Your spot on. If you have consistancy but nothing else, make yourself bigger and stronger. Springer has the size and is finding consistency making him a threat on the pitch.

But that's why exactly Massey is still at the club

1) He's reliable
2) He's trustworthy
3) He gives his all
4) He's not flashy but does what he needs to
5) He's cheap.

I reckon we get excellent value from Massey. You always need squad players. The next level is more expensive, more expensive doesn't always mean better, and can quite easily flop.

I'd rather have a Massey than a Korkidas.
