Challenge Cup Deadline

Post by Mysterio » 27 Apr 2017, 13:22

Anyone heard any rumours recently?

We usually add to the squad prior to the CC first game...

I suspect we'll be lining a prop up. Lynch appears to be really tired this year.

You can sign players at any point in the season up until the Friday before Round 23 of the domestic season. So if we signed someone who hadn't played in the cup before, he would be eligible for any point throughout the coming rounds.

In league express this week he's clearly keen to beat the Super League appearances record and isn't ruling out playing longer than he previously indicated

After Lynchs leg break last season it is sadly looking like he as played a season too long and on present form couldn't imagine Cas would give him a contract for a further season.
Lets not forget when Cas wasn't could enough for Andy he moved on to Bradford and right now we could spend the money he is getting paid far better.
Recent performances have highlighted that our starting props are not being effective and if the cap was available bringing in another front rower would be a good shout.
Powell talks about making changes in the team for players out of form but up to now he just seems to shuffle the same few players in or out. Is it not time to give a chance to the likes of Maheer, Douglas and Laroyer ( a SL quality player) in the pack and see what these lads have to offer.
