Apologies for been blunt.it just depends what type of 13 Powell wants.could westerman play 13 the way adz is?i don't think he can.and vice versa.joe likes his hands on the ball creating and offloading, players we already have in abundance.im not a fan of his anyway, too inconsistent for me.a top centre and another prop to replace lynch priorities for me.jackknife wrote:Alright calm down it was just an opinion, i think Milner has done well at 13 but think hes a better 9 and again just my opinion i dont think we can ask McShane to play 80mins every week and just for the record in MY opinion Westerman is a better 13 than Milner and hes definitely better than our 2nd choice 13 in Massey.Scoopage wrote:Because Milner loose forward hast worked for us at all as itjackknife wrote:Id take him back straight away n give him the loose forward spot n go back to giving Milner n McShane spells at hooker
It would make for good competition for places.
But it ok if you don't agree i wont hold it against you.

Re: Joe Westerman
Whilst Warrington have been getting plenty from their own forum since the start of the season, Joe is one who seems to have escaped criticism. Some Sky "experts" would have had Joe playing for England. Without checking, I'm sure he didn't play for us under DP, and I'd have him back in a heartbeat.

Nah mate, joe left well before DP came to the clubcogito ergo sum wrote:Whilst Warrington have been getting plenty from their own forum since the start of the season, Joe is one who seems to have escaped criticism. No thanks. Went because we were poor and wanted more money. Dont want him back now we are good and can afford to pay him more. He is a good player but loyalty is important. Rather look elsewhere if we want a loose.

Re: Joe Westerman
Pretty sure we needed his transfer fee to pay for stuff relating to the planning permission we got on the other new ground site near Xscape
Re: Joe Westerman
I dont blame him for leaving when he did i dont think he was at his best when he knew he was going agree with that but not hard for me to imagine how good hed be next year in tigers top

That's correct.
Re: Joe Westerman
Simple question, would you rather have Joe playing for Cas or Leeds. I know I would prefer him at Cas with out a doubt.

Re: Joe Westerman
Do people think he is actually that good? When at Cas he was tipped to be the next best thing.....As he even made the England squad?? For me hes not improved at all and has lost some pace. Still good with ball in hand but not much more different to what we have.

Think he did make the England squad a couple of times
Re: Joe Westerman
I would have him in the side for his tackling alone. He's a tackling machine.

Re: Joe Westerman
Thats what I mean. A couple of times but not recently. Dont get me wrong hes a good player and I wouldnt be upset we signed him. Just think any spare funds could be better spent elsewhere like a solid prop.Tamworth Tiger wrote:Think he did make the England squad a couple of times

Re: Joe Westerman
I'd have him back in heartbeat. With Lynch potentially retiring we're going to have a switch around anyway,
He''s a natural ball-playing loose forward and that suits our game massively. Imagine:
Millington
McShane
Springer
Sene-Lefao
McMeeken
Westerman
With:
Cook
Moors
Milner
Massey
Patrick
Holmes
Larroyer
Maher
Igbinedion
Douglas
Fitzsimmons
all as backups

Don't want to imagine, I remember the antics before and certainly don't want a return to that, hes better off at the wire ripping it up with them..... funny old world Hull get shut and they start to improve, Warrington receives and they are taking a nose dive coincidence maybe but just saying

From the wire fans there to much of a drinking problem with certain players. ?speedy wrote:Don't want to imagine, I remember the antics before and certainly don't want a return to that, hes better off at the wire ripping it up with them..... funny old world Hull get shut and they start to improve, Warrington receives and they are taking a nose dive coincidence maybe but just saying

No thanks . Wouldn't come cheap and the money would be better spent elsewhere . Prefer Adz at Loose anyway .

Re: Joe Westerman
In League Weekly - Joe is a target for Wakey. I know it is Dave Parker (who usually gets stuff wrong) but makes you wonder when Joe hasn't played for the last 3 games for Toronto. Rumours of him walking out on his contract with them as well.
Re: Joe Westerman
Why should we even think about Westerman whats he done at other clubs think the club should stay well away from him would rather the club look out for another creative halfback to make use of the right hand side of the field
